First off I would like to star out by stating how horrible the costumer service is. Which should have been my number one clue to not get cable with these people. I was promised things I didn't receive, I had a service that did not work so finally after dealing with multiple people I decided to cancel. We had an issue with the Joey wasn't receiving a signal. My wife an I spent 2 hours on the phone with a technician with no results. A technician we could barely understand when he spoke. An appointment was set up for the hours of 8am and 10 am for 10/4/17. I have a small business so I took the morning off to meet with the technician cost me money. Just got off the phone with DISH customer service....Really, customer service? I feel like I'm being held hostage or being black mailed into staying with DISH because if I don't, I have to pay $240 to break my contract. Why? Why do I have to stay with a company that makes me wait days to come out and repair my service? Why can't I legally switch to another company when this one makes me wait without service? Been with Dish for 3 years, bill started out at $59 for first year, increased to $125 for year 3 with no change in programming. I sent back equipment that needed to go back and four days after ups shows that it was delivered I am charged $698.00 for unreturned equipment to my bank card. How is that even legally possible. I have never been so mad. What would have happened if I didn't have money in that account or it caused overdraft charges..do you think dish would have covered it. Also I worked there. I didn't last a full year because I have never been a good liar.

My wife and I have been Dish customers for over 9 years. We have enjoyed our service. However last month our receiver received a software update. After the update the receiver worked extremely slow and often became unresponsive both using the the remote and the buttons on the receiver . Since I work in an IT profession, I am all to accustom to bad updates, we decide to give it a month and see if another update fixes the issues. Dish charged my account for 465.65 and I did not authorized for them to do this. I have a technician coming tomorrow 9/5/17 to pick up the equipment that is not in use. Dish is charging my account for this equipment and will not refund my account for what I am told will be another three weeks. I have told them that I am disabled and do not drive and this is the reason the technician is coming to upgrade my boxes and take the ones not in use.
