I joined dish TV April 1st installation went well , two week gone by and I lost the signal, 5 dish technician arrive in those 2 week , none of then can restore the signal, had an appointment today but no one arrive , too bad and too sad , and experience overall

Anyone considering DISH for TV service. Their Sales talk and technical support are in two totally different worlds. My 14-year-old receiver stopped working on 04/23/2018. I call DISH technical support. I spent 39 minutes on the phone, about 30 of it being on hold. While waiting on hold, they played multiple recordings. One of which stated I was eligible for a free upgrade to the Hopper. A technician gets on the line and tells me I need to upgrade because my equipment is obsolete. The upgrade will cost $150.00. Attempted to cancel my service and received 20 questions about why we were cancelling including if we were selling out tv’s after we told them we weren’t going to watch much television anymore. The associate was very rude and attempted to push a lower rate on us several times and did kept questioning why we were cancelling and how we were going to watch tv. We finally got her to comply after asking to speak with a supervisor if she was not going to cancel.

I had to temporarily downgrade my dish package from top 250 to the flex package for a couple of weeks. When it was time for me to pay my bill and switch back I was informed that I only needed to pay 60.95 and my full service was restored. the next morning while getting ready for work my service was interrupted and I called customer service and the lady I spoke with said I need to pay 16.00 then by the end of the conversation she said 76.00. 3-24-2018 Dish network is the worst cable company to retrieve service from. Do not get your service from this company and cancel, they tell you one thing in the beginning and when you cancel it is a whole different story!!! I found Dish Network to be a completely unethical, dishonest and ineffectual company at delivering the services they promised to me. The punish their customers for their own ineffectual negotiating with their broadcast providers. If they go into dispute with a broadcast provider they will cut your channels, in my case two major networks, for an unlimited time and continue to charge you full price. There have been so many conversations with customer service that I can't even begin to give exact date detail but the customer service is terrible. One agent says one price and another says another price and then tells us that there was no way the other agent said that. They lie to the customer. I had made the worst mistake of my life to go for dish service in 2015-2016. I got the dish service and they installed the equipment, due to job change I had to move to Chicago from Oklahoma City. I talked to them and they said instead of paying early termination fees, they can put my account on hold for $5/month. their customer service reps are trained to NOT take no for an answer.
