I have been a dish customer for over a decade. As of last month we decided to update our account, meaning we have to make a two year contract. Then two weeks later Dish removes Univision, and other channels. I called today to cancel their services, in order to cancel I need to pay $460 plus the shipping for their equipment. It didn’t matter how long I have been their customer for, or that the contract was made right before they removed the channels.

I called to cancel my Dish Network Account a few months ago and after being on hold for more than 25 minutes I was finally connected to Customer Service. I knew that I would have to pay a ETF for cancelling my account early but that was not a problem for me. The customer service rep asked me why I was cancelling and I told them that my wife and kids preferred Directv and I had just signed up with them again. Big Mistake. I began my service with Dish around a year ago, signing on to what they referred to as a "Two-Year Price Guarantee", which I did not fully understand was actually a "Two-Year Contract". The phrasing they used was very misleading, but I should have been more wary of what I was doing. The real problems began when I moved a few weeks ago. I would like to say that Dish Network is the best provider of services. We were with them for 11 years and unfortunately were talked into switching in April 2018 (HUGE mistake) AT&T is AWFUL and I am happy to say that we are back with Dish Network and couldn't be happier with them. AT&T we still need to deal with due to their lies and stealing of our money, but we are VERY happy that we returned to DISH :))

Terrible to deal with. I called the cancellation number yesterday 7/30/18 and spent 30-45 minutes listening to background music, but was ready for the wait. I finally got connected to a representative who asked me to verify my info via my e-mail. Once I did that he started out by telling me I had just received a $480 credit to my account for being a loyal customer for 4 years. I convinced my parents to switch to DISH, in part because of their "referral program". The gentleman that took their order informed them we had to call DISH directly with the referral code, which we did about 5 days after the installation. After about a month neither of us saw any sort of referral points, so I checked back in with DISH. First they said they couldn't find any referral being made at all. Then they DID find the referral, but it was a "bad code" and since this was past the 7 days, they could do nothing about it.... read more

I called customer service to report a problem that occurred, I had to call 7 times asking to speak to a supervisor. No one had an idea how to resolve the issue. They need more training, you guys need to let employees give the corporate phone numbers.

Dish has to be the WORST company to work with. Evidently, Amazon contracts with them for their TV mounting. The guy was at least an hour late, didn't know our order, and left a huge mess. To top it off, he upsold new, longer HDMI cables. I bought two and by the end of the night, the wires on both cables had come loose, leaving metal in my TV, exposed wires, and preventing me from watching anything. I tried to cancel my dish service after 6 years because I was moving. Nobody every came to the phone i was either put on endless hold or looped around their system time and time again. What a joke. I'll never use their service again.
