i'd leave 0 stars if I could. I had an unexpected accident and lost my husband 6 months ago. My kids and I had to move into my mother's because I couldn't afford our home on my own. I called every single bill I had and every single one disconnected my services with no fee's because they were all kind generous people BUT NOT DISH. They told me when I called that they were going to disconnect my services with no fee's and that they'd send me a box to return my equipment. I got the box and I returned my equipment. I had Dish Network for 9 years, was never late on my bill, once. I moved in July of 2016 and put a hold on my service. I actually called to disconnect and they convinced me to keep my service and to put it on hold. Once I moved I found there were trees in my view for the satellites so I could not get service. My service was only on hold for 9 months so they started billing me for service I didn't receive. I called to disconnect and once again they put my service on hold. On 9/12 at 4:11 CST I called to inquire about a separate charge I was billed. I spoke with a very knowledgeable, helpful, kind (Everything you hope for when you call for customer support!) Customer service representative names Christy. She helped me explain what the fee was (which was something I added on by accident) helped me to get that cleared up and corrected on my account as well as answered several questions reguarding general information. I indicate one star only because system required one. I wouldn’t have given any stars. Promise to provide local channels not kept. Lost NBC and CBS because company and networks couldn’t agree on keeping channels in Dish’s channel line up. Loss of signal during storms or even a simple rain. Upon cancelling service, I was charged $20 a month for the rest of my “contract” (ca $450!!!) for a service that failed to provide the channels listed on their initial agreement. Unfortunately, I can’t leave zero stars, or negative stars. We had a new roof installed (work began on Friday 9/7). We asked that the roofers not try to reinstall the dish, but leave it for Dish Network to reinstall. With this in mind I scheduled a REINSTALLATION OF MY EXISTING DISH via chat with Miamonique for Tuesday, 9/11, was given a two hour window (3-5pm, I believe it was) and billed $95 that would appear on my next billl. terrable costumer service, Been trying to get in contact with Dish for an hour and no luck, I called, text and chatted, no luck getting in touch with anyone. more than half of my channels are not working, none of my local channels are working, but I am willing to bet my account will not be credited for the the time my channels were not available or for the inconvience or Dish not answering when I try to communicate via call, text, or chat.

I was a loyal Dish Network customer for 11 consecutive years. I switched to another provider 2 years ago but called Dish recently to see what offers they had. I couldn’t even get a quote until I gave them my credit card #! Then I got a terrible quote! And I said I would need to talk it over with my husband and I would call back later. Well I was told I had to set up an appointment so my info could be saved, yea right! I recently cancelled my service with DISH. I was with them for 2 years and paid my bill every month on time, without fail. When I called them to cancel my service, they refused to remove the dish on my deck, taking up space. I am a 62 year-old, single woman and I live on the third floor of a condo community. I simply requested that they come and remove the dish without charging me $145, which is their fee for removal. They told me that is not their responsibility.
