I wouldn’t give one star if I didn’t have to. The minimum time I have stayed on hold trying to reach customer service is outrageous to begin with. Dish Network appears to have the best deals until something goes wrong like your satellite dish being moved by something outside of your control. Then they want to charge $95 or sale you their insurance program just to send a technician out and actually give some customer service. Customer service is out the window, all they care about is the bottom line.

To keep it short and sweet as I'm not one to leave reviews, I switched from Directv to Dish as the channel lineup worked for me and it was half the price. We were told by Dish sales that the HD picture quality was as good as Directv's, which turns out was not the case. Dish sent out a tech to take a look for us. They came out in a timely manner. I have been a SLINGTV customer for a number of years. Today I called technical support at ###-###-#### and the agent was not interested in my issue but rather wanted to give me $100.00 spending money as long as I gave him my name, address and credit card details (number, expiration, security code). Forced to leave one star, but they deserve 0! On Sept. 11 2018 I had called and reported that our dish had to be moved for some siding work to be done on our house and had since been put back but not aligned. The person I spoke too said there would be a charge of $50.00 for a technician to come re-align it. Since this is the same amount as my monthly bill I told him to cancel it, he of course tried to get me to stay with dish, I said no just shut it off then and I hung up. I tried to cancel an install appointment. I told them I had changed my mind . Was referred to “satellite deals” in New Jersey for cancellation. He tried to keep me from cancelling but finally had me wait about 4 minutes then forwarded me to the “ cancellation” department. No matter what I said this lady kept asking “what happened” , “why?”. First of all i recieved a call about my service call at 7:45 am, by the automative service stating tech would be here between 8:30 am and 11am. Second call between 11:45 and 1:45. Third call between 1:45 and 3:45. Poor service without exclamation as to tying up my whole day. I rearrange my schedule around the first call that I received at 7:45 this morning. I am forced to leave one star which they do not deserve, thanks to Gab, a representative from Advance Account Support Loyalty department. She would not provide us the accurate information to reset a security code nor provide us alternative ways to create an account which required a security code. We spent two hours on the phone with her and several people within Dish Network's call center. TO BBB 14 Phone calls and chats trying to return a Linksys Velop Mesh Router, but I end up with boxes to return 3 new receivers that the Tech had installed and he took the 4 old receivers. Took half a month and the last 2 hour call a request for a supervisor. She finally gave me an address and make myself a shipping label, because they no way to send shipping label by U.S. MAIL. NO WAY TO SEND A SHIPPING LABEL BY U.S. MAIL NOT EVERYONE HAS A PRINTER. I have one, but it would not print from their site.
