Joseph Bastianich, Lidia Bastianich and Mario Batali joined forces to create Del Posto. The warm, candle-lit restaurant takes diners on a tour of Italy, respectfully updating well-loved classics from each region to reflect the tradition of Italian-American cuisine. Amazing desserts
Amaze amaze amaze! – My bf took me here for my birthday. Everything was PERFECT. The decor is chic. Every one of the people on the floor can answer any question about any menu item. So impressive. We had the rib eye for two and there are just no words to describe how fantastic this place is. 100% delightful!
Worth it! – Del Posto is a great place to dine with. The staffs were well organized and very attentive to details. Their service was over the top. Their food was very satisfying and very delicious. Really had a good taste of food and the price is very much worth it.

Batali's comments are insensitive and hurtful – I can't believe Batali is comparing bankers to Hitler and Stalin. Agree with the previous post that it is completely insensitive. Why can't he just stick to making food? I can only assume that if he is busy attending conferences and media events offering his political views he is definitely not paying attention to his businesses and the quality of his food. Del Posto has gone downhill a bit over the years – For the money, one expects the highest quality of ingredients, preparation, presentation, service and decor. The decor is still very nice. The service sometimes has 'attitude', and the quality has definitely gone downhill. Although i used to go regularly, I now prefer other spots.
Boycott Mario Batali Restaurants – Mario Batali's recent comment comparing bankers to Hitler and Stalin are downright disgusting and irresponsible (reference at bottom of review). While there are many views on bankers during these challenging times, his references to such dictators who executed many people for their religion and / or beliefs is hurtful and ignorant. Romantic moment – Del Posto is such a romantic place for having a good moment with your partner. They are so quickly with the service and also the entrees are so nice
My review – Del Posto has been opened for awhile now. I finally got to try it when I was there for a friend's birthday. The service was mediocre but the food was phenomenal. Definitely try the risotto.
