finally.... great food (and value) in Seattle – FINALLY! I moved to Seattle from the Bay Area last year, and have long been searching for a restaurant with intelligent food. Crush IS such a place. Though we did have to wait a bit before our last reservation, we were more than entertained with cocktails and tastings from the kitchen while our table was prepared. The menu is quite a read, and employs ingredients that are both unusual (for Seattle) and refreshing. The decor is sexy, the staff is well-read on the food and wine o... read more
Don't waste your time – The service was okay - but the wine list lacked variety and the food was bland and over priced. the foie gras was greasy to the point that we could not eat it. Not worth the money in my book.
Not at all what I expected – Heard so much about this restaurant, and really looked forward to it. I was very disappointed. The food was below average. I ordered the pork chops. They were served with pork cheeks (very grisly and fatty) and brussel sprouts. YUCK. We just ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 1 glass of wine for $100.00. Not worth the money. Go somewhere else.
On the Fence.... – We had an 8pm reservation. There was a table for two open, but we were forced to stand in the cramped foyer, waiting until 8:15 to be seated. Waited another 15 minutes for water and a waiter. Service was pretty good after that and I didn't find the staff to be snotty, maybe just a little too busy. As for the menu, it was honestly one of the first times that I can remember where I couldn't find an item that I really wanted to try. Each menu item had at least one thing in it that wasn't to my liking. If you ... read more
I Was Crushed! – I visited Crush with a group of friends and was totally disappointed. The restaurant was loud and crowded. We sat on plastic chairs at the bar. The service was mediocre, as was the food. The portions were the smallest I've ever seen in a restaurant. They appear to have gone so far out of the way to offer a 'different' dining experience to patrons that they have forgotten the basics of feeding hungry people. The wine was excellent, but the food was not appetizing or filling. Our bill was $320 for 4, and we al... read more
GREAT!!!! – From the time the front door was open and we were greeted the the service was excellent! The meal was exquisite, the owner even came and said hi, WOW best food I have had in a long time. They are booked a week in advance, and I can understand why. Prices are great!! Super experience!! The people who work their are awesome!!!
Loved it! – My husband and I went last night with another couple to celebrate a special occassion. We all loved it. The service, food, and ambience were excellent. We had many questions about the menu and wine list and the waiter was patient and very knowlegable. The food was fabulous. We all ordered different items and tasted each others. It was difficult to decided which was our favorite. The tables are a bit close, but that didn't distract us from its numerous positives. It's not an inexpensive place, bit we thought it wa... read more
Don't believe the hype – I was sadly disappointed by my dinner at Crush. The food was nothing special. Not bad, not offensive, just not worth the rave reviews I had heard. The space is cramped. To me, the decor resembles a futuristic Brady Bunch rec room. Service was snotty. There was nothing really offensive or bad about my experience, but there are so many restaurants that I like better, that are more reasonably priced, that I have no desire to return to Crush.
Crushed by noise, food, and service – We had a really lousy experience here. The place is jam-packed for the space. It was really hot and really, really loud. The food was just plain average-- certainly not worth the high price. And the waiter kept trying to rush us through our meal so he could seat another waiting couple. The hostess was pushy and rude.
Crush has a 4.5 star rating with 155 reviews.
Crush is open now. It will close at 10:00 p.m.
