Nothing Special – After a lot of hype of this being a wonderful restaurant, we found it to be quite average. The service was fantastic. The wine was wonderful - a nice selection. But the food was very average. There was nothing special or outstanding about the experience.
Could be better – Went to Crush with high expectations, having heard that the chef won some PBS competition. While the food was good, I didn't think it was quite worth the price and the hype. Food apart, the restaurant decor is modern, and the outdoor dining area is very nice during summer. Given that the restaurant is relatively new, I might give it another try in the future.
fantastic experience – I'm actually apalled by the reviewer who thought he/she was better than the hostess simply because she worked there. My experiences at Crush have been fantastic. Every server that I've had has been extremely nice and has gone out of their way to make sure that me and my guests were happy. Although the restaurant is a bit noisy, the food and knowledgable staff more than make up for it. We had a large group and every one of us enjoyed our meal. That's usually pretty hard to accomplish. We've been there m... read more
LUV CRUSH AND IT'S HOT FOOD AND HOSTESS – forget the hype... enjoy the food and service, enjoy the wait, the reservation list, the food, also the food, the food, and oh by the way...the food...please Seattle, try something different
Soon to be Seattle's top restaurant-Crush – Crush is simply the best new restaurant in Seattle. When you walk through the doors of this renovated 1903 Victorian home your senses are tantalized with the simple elegance of this restaurant. Inspired plates of food, reasonable prices, a wonderful selection of wines and attentive service are all hosted in an intimate dining environment. The attention to detail at Crush will draw you in for a long wonderful culinary journey and bring you back again & again. I would recommend the f... read more
A labour of love – Chef Jason Wilson is a culinary genius. He adds so many special and unusual touches to all of his dishes. It's obvious that a great deal of care and creativity goes into the making of each and every dish. Jason combines ingredients in unexpected and delicious ways. There are layers of flavors and textures. The food is artistic yet satisfying. Nicole Wilson and the rest of the staff are gracious and knowledgeable. It's obvious that the Wilsons have put their hearts into this place. We've dined there three o... read more
Overhyped – It took us a month to get reservations at "Crush". We enjoy searching for new restaurants all of the time, and we had heard a lot about Crush. We were extremely disappointed by the service. Despite the fabulous presentation, it did not compensate for the lack of flavor in the food. We were extremely (all four of us) that the restaurant did not come close to meeting our expectations.
Spot on – Chef Jason Wilson and his wife Nicole along with their staff prove once again why they are at the top. A group of 16 dined this past Saturday on Crushs new outdoor patio. The drinks were perfection; the appetizers, dinner and dessert were simply orgasmic. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the selections on the menu with enthusiasm; I agree, everything was as he put it, just gorgeous. Thank you to Chef Jason Wilson, Nicole Wilson and all of your staff. I will definitely return... read more
User review by coconut206 – Crush is one of those places that make you go, "wow, are we still in Seattle?" Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgable wait staff. They're the kind of place that's not afraid to put things like clafoutie and rabe on the menu. Nor do they scoff when you ask for a translation. I had the short ribs. They were full of flavor, moist and delicious. It's not the cheapest place around. But then again, you get what you pay for. This place is definitely worth checking out. My advice: do it before it get... read more
