Chic, hip, accommodating and delicious – This is a visually pleasing, palate delighting restaurant. The service is delightful and efficient. The food is thoughtfully prepared, keeping the individual in mind. I was pleasantly surpised by the accommodating attitude with regard to my special dietary needs. This place deserves its high acclaim.
Tasty and friendly – The salmon was superb, the chocolate dessert outstanding and the service was attentive and nicely engaging. I will definitely go back for seconds.
Still Hungry – I really wanted to like Crush. Perhaps I had too high of expectations. After all of the hype, I was seriously dispappointed. The short ribs were OK but certainly did not leave me salivating for more. It's a hip place and definitely the place to go to see beautiful people. But the service was impersonal and cold. The portions are small. Don't go to Crush unless your on an expense account and eat a snack before hand.
Visit from San Francisco – Several friends from San Francisco have been delighted with the culinary experience provided by Chef Jason Wilson's kitchen in Seattle. One friend who is well known in the food industry salivates at the thought of tasting the short ribs. I have enjoyed Jason's creations on several occasions before Crush. The best foie gras I've ever had. As an Internet entrepreneur, I am a partner in a company that produces online videos of San Francisco's best restaurants. As good as the videos are at capturing th... read more
Reputation well known in San Francisco – My friends in the Bay Area go out of their way to visit Crush in Seattle. One friend is well known in the food business and salivates for Chef Jason Wilson's short ribs ... he says it's a must for a long remembered experience! As an entrepreneur, one of my businesses is to produce Internet videos of famous SF restaurants on Fisherman's Wharf. I've met chefs at these restaurants who know Chef Jason Wilson and they well remember the magic Jason weaves with food and the exquisite experie... read more
Lots to Lovage – If you live in a little-old burrough that's transitioning out of tough times, your hopes are high when someone puts their culinary heart into a decaying corner of Seattle instead of another condo. Nicole & Jason Wilson seem as suited to each other as they are to this business--no easy feat. Perhaps more mod in feel than we'd hoped from a neighborhood bistro, the just-opened patio was a true delight for late summer dining. For weeks, I'd glanced at the seasonal offerings while walking past & finally indulged ... read more
Big Disappointment – I was excited to try a new spot and it looks very stylish but that's where it ends. Try it for yourself but I can tell you its a big disappointment. Service is poor and food is mediocre at best.
Highly Over-rated, Disappointing Food ... – Arrogant host just tossed a drink menu to my wife and took off without saying anything. A bad start to a similarly disappointing food experience. Cocktails were very good definitely an experienced bartender. Food arrived in the wrong order: appetizer, wine, bread, then meal. The large octopus tentacle on the salad was dark brown, and soft to the touch, and curled up in a circle the size and width of a toothpaste tube you can sense where Im going here. I had nightmares for days. It ... read more
Left hanging – I hadheard mixed reviews on Crush- some glowing and some less than stellar so I was excited to check it out for myself. The highlight of the night was the wine list. Chairs were uncomfortable but bearable. The short ribs were the only stand out which melted in my mouth but the rest of our food was just ok. Our server appeared to be new and perhaps the reason why he was not up to speed on the food and wine. It seems like more a place to be seen rather than to dine.
Crush has a 4.5 star rating with 155 reviews.
