I had planned a move to NJ for a job opportunity, and I'm lucky I found Cross Country Moving Group. It was definitely a long trip up from N.C. and they made it painless. I had to pack up a 2 bedroom apartment worth of furniture and belongings, and the estimate was fair when compared to the other movers that I had gotten quotes from. I used cross country moving group for my move from Pennsylvania to Texas, this was the first time I have used a moving company and was in a rush because of a job offer. Not only did they address my concerns about the move and the costs, they were communicative the whole way through the process and I didn't have to worry about where my items were ( I had a two bedroom apt worth of stuff. My wife and I were looking for a reliable mover, which is something of a rarity these days. After hearing and seeing numerous horror stories both in person and on the internet, we were tipped off about Cross Country Moving Group by a neighbor of ours who had used them in the past. Working with Cross Country was a cakewalk. The guys who came over were friendly and hard working. Moving to me and my family is always a huge hassle, we typically try to move by ourselves but this time we went searching for help to make our lives easier. Two stars only because nothing was stolen or lost. My biggest complaint is the lack of communication. Not only was I not given updates on my delivery, it was like pulling teeth to get someone to answer my calls or emails. I was also quoted one price that was binding and was charged extra money at pickup and delivery- a total of $400 extra. I was charged $300 for stairs even though I disclosed my stairs during the inventory. Then I was charged extra money at delivery because they sent a semi to my location without looking up ... read more

This was my first time moving and I decided to go with Cross Country Moving Group. The overall experience dealing with them was a breeze. They were on time and very efficient through the move. They packed all the stuff very professionally and loaded/unloaded all the stuff very carefully making sure everything was moved safely, so no damages, not even a minor scratch on any stuff. My husband and I were very pleased with the move and would hire them again in future.

Let me just tell you that my overall moving experience Cross Country Moving Group. Their crew were absolutely exceptional. They were kind, professional, flexible, extremely hard working and experienced. They were able to move my 2 bedroom house that was way above weight estimate and still remain pleasant and professional.
