I had had my Coastas for years and the nose pads started to break. I tried to have them replaced at a dealer and they said they didn't do repairs. I tried ordering replacement pad from Coasta with no luck. I figured I'd just wear them at work. Then the nose piece started to com off at the top causing discomfort. I figured I'd try to make a claim before I trashed them because you know what could it hurt? Within 2 days they reviewed it and covered them. After reading the reviews below, I was shocked- but perhaps the issues simply weren't as noted- "defects." I have been a fan/consumer/wearer of Costa sunglasses for years. I recently had to use the online repair program and have nothing but great things to say about the warranty response and service. Customer service is a joke. Tried to replace a pair of sunglasses under warranty which was approved anf accepted but then the jerk you around aboit sending the replacement pair. Attempted to contact customer service via chat and email. Of course no one can help you. Everybody wants to transfer you to other departments. Very unfriendly. Do yourself a favor and from a different company. ************************** etc

I purchased my Glasses from a local retailer. After having for 1 month my lens popped out and broke. I took to the retailer which said I would have to file a warranty claim with Costa. I filed all the paperwork through the website. 2 days later they responded by saying " Upon evaluation of your claim, we have determined that your Service Request is out of warranty." they offered to repair the glasses for $127.00. That is totally unacceptable they need to stand behind the product they sell for $300.00.

This company has a serious issue with standing by their product. My $200 plus Caballito glasses where less than 1.5 year old and they developed a small crack on the frame just above the nose. The crack eventually started to get worse until the glasses split in half. This issue seems to be a problem as I have read other customers complain about cracked plastic frames. I bought my first pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses 3 months ago. The lens cracked down the middle. I sent in a claim and was told "Unfortunately, repair of your damaged eyewear is not an option as this model and its replacement parts are unavailable." They sent me a 30% off coupon to purchase a new pair of sunglasses. Due to poor customer service and not having replacement parts available for purchase, I will not be buying from this company again.

No More!! I have been a customer for over 30 years. I currently have two pair of prescription glasses for fishing. The nose piece on both have broken down in only 2 years. I went back to the optical store that I bought them from. They tried with their rep and direct contact to the company. They basically said pound sand. I am now looking for an alternative manufacturer. Historical services was the best, not now.

I see why they have a 1.27 rating must be run by China...I just got off the phone with some one and I have a pair that the coating is pealing off and they said I must have have gotten some thing on them. Now I have to take out the lens and send them the frames and then put them back. All I want is new frames I dont give a dam what they cost I paid over 600 for prescription glasses. Accidental damage and regular wear and tear like peeling is not considered a defect.
