Great sunglasses - but horrible customer service. I have a pair of Fantail 580p sunglasses that were given to me as a gift. Originally the ear piece rubber fell off both sides, so I submit a claim. Does not fall under warranty. So, I continue wearing until the rubber nose piece falls off. I submit another claim, and guess what - denied. But, I could purchase the same sunglasses for $106. They are refusing to let me submit a warranty claim on a pair of sunglasses I bought 2 monthse ago and paid over $300 and the rubber is already falling off the frame. Everytime I submit the claim they deny it and say the pictures aren't good enough but don't give exact reasons why. The p ** receipt I was given was am email invoice and they are saying it isn't good enough but they didn't provide me with any other receipt.
I have had nothing but issues from Costa in the last few years. I ordered a pair of sunglasses in 2023. The sunglasses were delayed. When they finally delivered, it was someone else's order and prescription. They remade and reshipped the sunglasses, and those were delayed. Why would anyone buy Costas?? They have this rubber on the nose and temples that falls off after a year or two. If you have a pair, you know what I'm talking about. They used to have a warranty that covered this, but NO MORE! So now you spend nearly $300 on a pair of sunglasses that become a paperweight after a year? I was denied a warrant claim for no apparent reason other than the glasses and parts are discontinued. This was obvious workmanship issues and for the price I paid, this was not a top quality product. So you cant replace the frames of the glasses that I paid almost $300 for within the 2 year period? Costa del Mar is a scam as a company. I purchased a pair of their glasses which have a rubber surface glued to the legs of the glasses. This rubber is supposed to keep the glasses from slipping. Well, the problem is that a few months into using these glasses, the rubber surface began to disintegrate. I have always sent my glasses to costa for repairs, its never been over 80 dollars. Now they want almost ****** to repair. I can get a new pair for that much shame on you!
This is my second purchase of sunglasses from Costa. My husband loves your Ricon glasses. His first pair got a small crack in the frame early on.
