This company billed me double for my electric and water ****. I was then told it just happens sometimes because of delayed shipping or delayed meter readings. My utilities went from $300 to $680. I was not made aware that I would be getting up charged at random. They say its not a common occurrence but obviously it is by all the reviews I've read. A portion of my chat transcript is below.(07:38:22 PM) ************ should be made known that a person will get hit with a double ****. I am not responsible for postal delays. This... read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Just a TERRIBLE company that is intent on overcharging and making money via a service fee for paying online and if you refuse to do so by mailing them a check they charge a late fee regardless of when you mail it. This is really rip-off renters.

Business response:

***** - Unfortunately, I do not see that you have contacted us directly in regards to your concerns. There is a convenience fee charged for any one-time payment made through our system. You can avoid this fee by mailing in a check, using any **** pay options offered by your bank, or signing up for auto pay.If you are paying via check, we do advise sending this about a week before the due date. I do not see that you have received any late fees recently. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with ... read more

I think CON-SERVICE fits them because they are con artists. I am forced to use Con job service since our apartment complex uses them. They are unethical, rude, & care nothing about customer service. 1/2 star rating says it all. Over 5.2 million locations they service & cant get more than a 1/2 star. Tells you everything. My average electric **** is $80-90 per month. Period. My last **** is $253 this month w/ a reduction of power used. Can anyone say RIP OFF?? How does one triple their **** W/O tripling the usage? YOU CANT YO... read more

Business response:

I recently moved into a new apartment complex that uses ConService as their utility billing and it has caught my attention that they not only **** twice for the water usage being a base pay of $15+ on top of whatever water you use and also **** an outrageous amount for the trash being anywhere above $30 per month. I reached out to both my property management and ConService directly and neither were able to give me any details. Not to mention the rude customer service agent who told me, "Ma'am I dont know what to tell you." T... read more

Business response:

******* - I'm happy to see that you received an email from our customer service team in regards to your **********************. To confirm, the water base charge is a flat fee for water availability. The trash is also billed as a flat fee. You can find descriptions of your billing on page 2 of your utility statements. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any further questions.

First, Conservice customer service is bad, when I called them, the representative is arrogant and told me to just pay the ****, I asked for the supervisor or manager, the representative said her supervisor will call me back but it I never got a call back. I received a Conservice ****, with a vacant service fee, this is SO UNFAIR and SO UNACCEPTABLE. I got the keys to the new apartment on a Saturday and told the property manager we will be moving next Saturday or Sunday because we still have to work that week. By the way we a... read more

Tonight I sit with no water in my home due to an "technical error" with Conservice system. I pay my bills on time every month and after working all day I am unable to bathe, flush my toilet, or wash my dishes. While I understand glitches happen I know beyond a reasonable doubt that the local water company has sent this company communications **** not being past due. So how exactly did my **** get to be so delinquent that my water was shut off. Conservice definitely sounds like a CON to me. Do not use, beware something doesn'... read more

Business response:

**** - I apologize for the situation. I see that this has been resolved. If the service is still disconnected please reach out to us at ************.

Company charges convenience fees every month to save me 15 seconds of work of paying my own water ****. Provides nothing of value. They also do not respond to emails and are sending me water bills for double and triple what I usually paid. Stuck with them through invitation homes and will not be renewing our lease.

Business response:

**** - Per your lease agreement, the water should remain in the property management's name. There is a monthly service fee charged for consolidating any utility charges on one statement, sending this statement to you, and providing conservation resources. All your utility charges can then be paid directly to your property management along with your rent. If you have any questions regarding your billing, please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com.

This company charges your for every convenience fee that they can or pretend to charge. what a scam.

Business response:

***** - There is a convenience fee charged for any one-time payments processed through our system. This fee is charged to cover the expenses incurred from providing the services that make credit card and EFT payments available to you, such as our customer service center and our website. This fee can be avoided by mailing in a check, using any **** pay options offered by your bank, or singing up for auto pay. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any questions.

I live in an apartment complex and there are eight total apartments in one building for an each doorway I was told by a representative that my **** for my sewer and my water were divided by four people who are you to tell me that I have to pay for someone elses **** previous management my **** was $50 a month this new ******** company here my **** is now $90 and sewage $21 in water you cant tell me that Im using that much!! this company is a rip off

Business response:

******* - I'm happy to clarify. You are not billed based on your usage as there are no individual meters available to measure each apartment's usage. You are simply receiving a portion of the community's utility charges based on your occupancy and square footage. Your community receives **** from the local utility providers for the service. These charges are split in half. One half is used to calculate a charge per occupant and the other is used to calculate a charge per square foot. Your charges are calculated using the occ... read more
