I had never spent a night in a hospital, let alone have never had surgery. The staff in the E.R. was awesome, my nursing team when I was admitted was amazing, and my surgical team was the best I could ask for! I was so nervous and scared to go under anesthesia all I could do was cry every time anyone came in to talk to me about my surgery. And when I was in the pre-op room my surgical team came in and introduced themselves to me one by one and told me what they were going to do, including the surgeon! Went in with chest pain. They did chest x-ray, EKG, ECG, stress test, blood tests. Said everything is normal, must be anxiety. Guess what, just a month later I had an angiogram, come to find out I had a blockage and needed a stent. Not going back there if I can help it, going straight to the medical center downtown.
It is a little bit slow but it's better than most so I recommend it
I had a stroke and heart attack on July 14, 2015 at the age of 44. I was taken here and within minutes was in surgery. The surgeons and nurses there are the best. I was up walking the next morning feeling 20 years younger.
My daughter was admitted twice until this hospital for various reasons and the staff and Doctors showed us so much care and compassion. I would recommend it I everybody.
I want to say a BIG thank you to everyone that helped me during my 3 night stay. Thuy in pre op was wonderful, Danielle in pre surgery was so cheery and great! All of the nurses on the 4th floor in recovery were so helpful especially all of my nurses including Hilda and Patty. I truly felt like they cared so much about my pain and me getting better.
I just got discharged after a week and I couldn't say enough nice things about the nurses on the 6th floor of the Heart Tower. Finest professionals and excellent care. Glad to be home, but I'll actually miss them. Thanks for everything!
Overcrowded, Understaffed, worst ER experience. For any Emergency, please seek medical attention elsewhere. I will never be coming here again, did not get treated like a human being.
I had my daughter here. The staff was AMAZING, they helped me through being induced, and answered every question I had!
