In my opinion, don't ever take your child or anyone for that matter to clear lake regional medical center. My daughter, whom was 6 at the time, had a spider bite that was infected and it had Mrsa in in. It became so infected that her surgeon admitted her, instead of a same day surgery as most patients would receive. Its 12:06 we've been here (in the er) since 5ish and was put back it a "er room" around 9:30ish, we still really have no clue on what's going on. The nurses can't give us a 100% positive answer I've asked for the doctor about 5 times and still nothing. Like really why? I was told that it was something serious but yet can't have someone come talk to me? Y'all really need to step it up! I mean er went faster then it did last time we were here. But I would love to know what's going on!
Thank you very much clearlake, for robbing me the excitement of having my first child and turning it into s depressing one. Twice you guys have sent me back home. 1) cuz I wasn't 40 weeks yet, 2) cuz you had no beds even after I'm over due. And the nurse making the call isn't polite to begin with. its not fair and not right and y'all need to treat people better than that.
Worst experience of my life. I need to file a formal complaint, and see if they have a patient advocate. The er nurse was great. PA and the Dr that oversaw him were completely awful. If God forbid I ever have to go to the er again it will be at a different hospital.
The healthcare my family member is receiving is great and I really appreciate the care the Dr's and nurses are giving to my Aunt. However, I was very upset due to the fact no one is monitoring the waiting room in the ICU area (3rd fl; newer area of the hospital! I felt I was at a frat party- this is a hospital not a night club or family reunion! This is a very stressful and trying time for families with loved ones in ICU. I've had my 2 babies here and both times was treated wonderfully. The nurses were amazing and very attentive. All the staff from admissions to pre-op even the janitorial staff was polite and extremely helpful. All these people love what they do and love the company they work for because it shows in how they treated us during our stays. I will continue to come to this hospital for any medical needs.
Did not have an MRI done on the 21st of December because of size issues and was told to expect a refund in 24 hours, four phones calls later and here it is January 11th and still no refund. They expect their money now but then they can't refund yours in a timely manner!!! They SUCK!!!
The food is horrible 9times out of 10 I probably wouldn't even give it to my dog !! The cleaning people swear they clean so good I've been here since Saturday morning my sons sheets have not been changed. They use no cleaning stuff for the restroom I guess water does he trick!! The food service for the heart hospital was terrible. They apparently need more staff if the meals are given a 2-hour window. You may get breakfast at 7, then again you may not get it till 9 or later. Same for lunch and dinner. Then the trays aren't picked up until almost time for the next meal. What's a patient supposed to do when they are woken up at 6 am and not fed until 9 am?
