Our server was polite. They serve the standard Mexican dishes at a reasonable price. It’s a local’s hangout. They do sell cocktails and bottled beer.There is a large TV with sports and lots of local sports memorabilia so it has a pseudo-sports bar feel. We were hungry so the meal was filling.
Seems to have been around for quite some time and had a pretty good crowd at lunch time. The food was very good and fresh. The restaurant is a bit dark inside and has a lot of sports memorabilia on the wall. Again, the food was good and filling and came out pretty fast.
If you are in the mood for Mexican food, Chueys is great! Nice decor, great service, and food. Visited more than once. would go back!
If your a football fan....this is the place John Madden made famous...Good Margarita
A Bit of Unique Americana & Good Mexican Food. At first I thought it was part of a Mexican food chain restaurant but was happy to find it was a family-owned restaurant. The service was great. Finally got fresh food much better
To say this restaurant is off the beaten path is an understatement. There is not a huge choice of restaurants in Van Horn - but they are lucky to have an authentic Mexican Restaurnat. My husband & I stopped this past Thursday for an early lunch. We both ordered the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Nice cool, comfortable, and good food! After a long day of riding in the Ft Davis Mountains me and the wifey stopped at Chuy's for a bite to eat.The service was fair and the food was pretty darn good... and oh by the way Madden ate here and put this place in the All "Madden Haul of Fame" are you kidding me?! Madden, that's Awesome!!! If you're a true sports enthusiast and ride Harleys it's a must... if you're a snob and wear penny loafers probably not for you!!!! We had the burrito and gotitas... delicious!!!!!
