For being in the middle of nowhere, this place is amazing. I would drive there right now for an order of their gorditas. Seriously folks...little pockets of heaven.
It seemed to be a bit of an institution in a town that had obviously seen better days. So rather than going for the predictable fare offered by the local DQ and Pizza Hut, I decided to see for myself what Chuys was all about. Despite the considerable football and other sports memorabilia hanging off the walls and the very prominent big-screen TV, this is a family kind of place. I was treated very nicely by the staff. We had a great meal and I was so surprised to see Flat Enchiladas with an egg on top listed on the menu. Have made these myself for years but never have seen them on a menu. They were really good and a nice change from the usual Mexican meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Would love to know the Mexican name for this dish in case I am ever in a situation where I could "custom" order these.
