I would recommend Chile Rellenos...really tasty...

Great local place. Good food and pricing. Lots of Texas memorbila. Very fast service. Neat old vehicles out front.
We ordered take out. Food was delivered fast it was hot and tasted wonderful This is a must try if your in the area I had the chili ralinos and hubby had burritos. We also ordered desert. Strawberry cheese cake and key line pie. Both were wonderful !! Homemade salsa. It was very inexpensive ... Will eat here again when we are passing thru.
A friend and I stopped here for lunch on the way to Austin from Phoenix. We took turns driving and did the 16 hour trip straight through. This is where we stopped for lunch. I had the red chile plate and I thought it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and the red chile sauce was nice and thick with just the right flavor. What a fabulous place. Pork was fabulous great staff a locals fav I imagine.
Main courses are good. Fish and fajitas were top notch. Overall, good food.
We had not been to Chuy's for a long time and decided to stop in again, because we've always enjoyed it. Today we had the chiles relleños and the flautas. They were both wonderful, and the service was also excellent. They make probably the best chiles relleños we've had, and today it was made even better with chile con queso. If you happen to be driving through Van Horn and want authentic Mexican food, Chuy's is the place to go.
