Ate while staying in Van Horn over Spring Break. Was pleased. I ordered stacked cheese enchiladas and wife ordered John Madden special. Both meals were good. Not out of this world, but good. The salsa was not very hot, but was very flavorful, nice taste. Staff was great and attentive. Definitely. Place is worth the stop.

I saw it online and thought it was part of the chain but it's not. However, it is very good. We got there just as they opened and I couldn't get the first two things I asked for; the soup wasn't ready and the second item I asked for, which was on the menu, they were out of. Oh well, so I asked what was good and had a very nice lunch. Just go with the flow and you will enjoy it. My husband and I were both happy with our lunch. Some day I will go back later and try the chicken green chili soup.

On a recent trip to El Paso we stopped in Van Horn and went to Chuy's. I thought of this place was the place John Madden always talked about. It was pretty good. Good tacos. Good enchiladas. Really tasty chips and salsa. It will be a future stop. I was really surprised.

After a long day of driving, we pulled into town and thought we would give Chuy's a try once again. In the past, we have had hit or miss experiences here, but we do enjoy the super casual family atmosphere and the food isn't bad. Well this time it was excellent. We were greeted, seated and served quickly. The place was not busy. Our server Barbara was wonderful and offered to brew fresh coffee. Chuy's Mexican Restaurant is great from our experience (Clean, Decor, Friendly, Fast, Service, Choices, Food Prep, Taste, Prices, etc.) so what else can I say but that if you go here be prepared! If you like the taste (thrill???) of a killer chili this is the place. If you have a Killer Chili smell allergy Beware. I had dinner here and found the staff to be friendly, helpful and welcoming. Loved the red chile pork but the menu has many delicious looking options.

Not a lot of choice at 9:00pm. Parking lot was full. Usually a good sign, and it was. I am from Peoria Arizona. Most of our food is sorianan style. I have had Tex-Mex and was delighted to find that this was not Tex-Mex.(no like Tex-Mex) This was a Juarez style. I like to try different foods and I very much enjoyed the food. The best I've ever had. I love their chile verde- so much that I eat there at least once a week. Their chips and salsa? AMAZING. If you're looking for something not so spicy- their Quesadillas are delicious.
