My sister signed a contract, and two days later she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She died within three months. The company demanded just over $34,000 to "terminate" the contract so I could sell the home. This included over $8000 in "lease fees". Basically, they required that the estate pay for 10 years of service that they would not have to provide. They filed a CCR(?) lein against the property impeding the sale even though I offered to pay for the equipment, nor did I get credit for nearly $5000 in fees I'd paid in go... read more
