There is a very good reason to visit your dealer for oil changes. I recently took my car to Ford City for an oil change and asked them to check on the reason the transmission light came on. The transmission had a faulty clutch and Ford City techs fixed that, but they also fixed the starter motor, which was under re-call, something I was not aware of. Both repairs were under warranty, a huge relief. If I had taken the car to an oil change franchise, I doubt that those problems would have been mentioned,never mind fixed. And t... read more
