My husband and I have been dealing with Carrington Mortgage for the last two months as we are doing a refi-cash out on our home. If we could give this company a negative 0 stars we would. Their level of professionalism and knowledge is abhorrent. First, we e-signed the papers for our refi 7 times, it wasnt until my wife inquired as to what was going on that they informed us about the refinance laws in ***** and they change by the day. ******************My VA mortgage was sold to Carrington a little over a year ago from Chase. I took advantage of a lower interest rate, from **** % to **** % with Carrington Mortgage. Prior, with Chase my payment were always on time (auto pay). Then the horrors started with bank account errors. Charging late fees to for over 6 months. I just received a $306.00 late fee for March 1, 2022. Not happy with Carrington Mortgage.

A nightmare..my loan was sold to them 4 months ago Ive had to call every month about something ..I pay at least 2 weeks early and extra every month yet get letter saying Im overdue and then acted like they didnt have my escrow when it came time to pay out yet had thousands in it ..takes 4-5 calls and hours of holding to get things taken care of with a client who pays extra and early

I have had a good experience with Carrington up until know...While trying to get a home equity loan to make needed repairs to my home we received all kinds of missed information, and no information that simply ****** me off. We paid over $500 for an appraisal to find out that the home had to be in tip -top shape in order to get the loan after the fact. Carrington is ripping the customers off, they must be working in conjunction with the appraisal people. Our mortgage was sold to Carrington from Chase and I hate them....STAY ... read more

When calling the automated system to pay it says you can make a payment free on line or through the automated system but they charge 5 dollars to make an online payment.

Awful Company with horrible practices!!! A friend tried to recommend them to me and now they WILL NOT LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!I refinanced with a better company and this one will not stop! They're awful!No! I do not want to remortgage 3 months after I finalized with someone else!ARGH!

BIGGEST JOKE OF A COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. BEEN A HOME OWNER FOR 27 YEARS AND OWNED MY CURRENT HOME SINCE ****, AND THE MORTGAGE GOT SOLD TO THEM. THEY CASH MY CHECKS EVERY MONTH AND DON'T POST THE PAYMENTS, WHEN YOU CALL YOU GET DIFFERENT RESPONSES AND NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON EVER, E-MAIL GETS NO REPLY, LETTERS GET LOST OR NO REPLY, AND 2 MODIFIED LOANS WERE SENT IN PROVEN THEY GOT IT THROUGH FED EX, AND THEY LOST THEM BOTH ,RUINING OUT CREDIT AND HAVE CAUSED A YEAR AND A HALF OF CONSTANT STR... read more

Where do I begin. Carrington mortgage is completely trash. I was deployed to **** when they bought one of my rental property mortgages from **** of America. I can home after 6 months, i checked my credit and I had 4 late payments. I got 0 letters from them at my residence (wouldn't matter I was deployed), I received no phone calls (even though my cell phone worked in ****) and they didnt maintain my auto payment on the mortgage.
