Carrington mortgage recently purchased my mortgage. After making the same mortgage payment I agree to over 30 years my mortgage went up over $1,000 and multiple letters from my town hall that my taxes were not paid. After numerous hours on the phone over a 1-month period I called my old mortgage company to make sure the money was not still in escrow with them I was told they transferred all the money over which was almost 6 months worth of taxes. I would do a negative star is possible. My loan was transferred to Carrington. During Covid I asked for stop payments once started I was told I would have to pay 10k to bring my loan current. I did a loan modification and was not told it was not finalized. Now 3 months later my interest rate has doubled. I had to constantly contact them. Today I was told they will not consider lowering my rate. I can opt out which means I would forfeit my home, This is the worst company for communication and ethics!

Carrington is the most unethical and dishonest company Ive ever dealt with. There internal record keeping is a joke, Ive had them deny information they sent to me in a letter. They refused to honor arrangements made with Chase when they supposedly bought the mortgage when in actuality they just bought the servicing. There is no way they should have an A+ rating. Absolutely the worst company! All they want to do is argue zero customer service skills! Very rude and disrespectful! Got a letter saying all info transferred when in fact it did not! They have no desire to assist with anything. Absolutely hate this company they need to be shut down!

Carrington recently became my mortgage servicer and it has been nothing but issues since! They have the worst NO customer service. When I called, the prompt for customer service actually has a message that states they can't help and then it just hangs up on their customers! No ability to leave a message or request a call. When I called back and pressed the number to refinance my loan (why anyone would do that with this company is beyond me), my call was picked up right away, go figure. I have been with this company about 5 years and recently paid off my loan. Anyone that is with this company needs to refinance and get away from Carrington Mortgage. This company will let your escrow to into the negative because they will not project your insurance and property taxes. Their customer service department lacks communication skills. They are rude and does not care about their customers.

My house burned down Feb 4th 2022. My ***************** sent a check for ****** to carrington mortgage. After speaking with several reps and being transferred up teen times back and forth between loss draft **** and customer service, I was told my pay off was around $50,000. I told them to put the ****** toward the property to pay it off and send me a check for the remaining ****** that was left over. My loan was transferred to this company two months ago and they will not let me know when my next payment is due. I was not even told my loan was being bought out and have no idea what they are doing with it. I cant even pay anything on my loan if I did owe anything. This is so unfair to me.

Carrington took over my loan and began harassment on debt collection before I was notified they were my servicer. I have received 4 letters about a late payment before I got their welcome letter which took 2 weeks to arrive. Never missed a payment previously now getting this, beyond ****** at their lack of professionalism. Talking with them results in excuses and misdirection.
