Carrington Mortgage is the worst. They are placing me in foreclosure but I havr paid them since Bank of America had them service my loan. These two companies work together to take your money by adding unknown fees that are unheared of. I am charged an inspection fee each month but no inspection has been done. I havr proof I havr paid them each month and they say I am 4 months behind in payments but have over $800 in unapplied funds. Contractors, do not work with this company. We have been trying to collect our payout for the last 6 months. They owe us 14k and now will not return calls. They say they need to get an inspection of the work completed. Per the homeowner that was done last month and we can not get a report. We now owe our subs and suppliers and they have made our reputable company look very poor. DO NOT DO ANY WORK WITH THEM. They are extremely unprofessional. Carrington Mortgage SUCKS.

On the phone with a rep right now. My credit score has gone from 785 to 633 as of today. It was 703 when I checked it last night. I've had nothing but problems since your business bought my loan from Bank of America. I'm on SSI and have done my best to make payments on time and keep my credit report in good standing.Talking to this rep right now, he said I was called 3 times and sent a letter. Terrible business. Our mortgage was sold to carrington and it has been terrible. Do not use them for your mortgage needs.

My home mortgage loan was sold to carrington a bit over a year ago so far any dealings with customer service have been terrible and they charge fees for any payment other than autodraft. 20 dollars for any phone payments and 5 dollars for online payments???? It's crazy! and the fact that both companies that serviced the loan previously were amazing to deal with and no "convenience" fees is insane

Absolutely horrible company that has no regard or concern for the customer. I had no choice in my mortgage being bought by this pathetic excuse for a company. Extremely long waits for calls. Now charges to make online payments when it used to be free. Sends bills for wrong customers to my address. Assesses late fees even though the payment was applied on time. I am a US Army Veteran with excellent credit, unfortunately by Bank of America VA mortgage was purchased by Carrington. They are now charging a $5 convenience fee to make a online payment. I find this insulting, I have two other mortgages with other banks that do not gouge Vetrans. I emailed their resolution dept..... surprise no response... Stay away from Carrington

Quite possibly the worst mortgage company there is. My mortgage was sold to Carrington Mortgage and it was been one problem after another. Customer service is atrocious. I have had to call several times because of issues on their end. They failed to pay homeowners insurance, even though they were supposed to be managing the escrow account. They won't let you pay more toward the balance online. You can't see how much money is in your escrow account. There are fees for doing nearly everything.
