I did NOT choose this company. My loan was sold. I am so tired of the FEES. I paid my loan on phone once with a representative and she said she would waive any fees. I was charged 10 dollars extra. Yes minimum amount, but it is the principle. Also, I was paying online and it used to be free, now today it's a $5 a month CONVENIENCE fee. What the heck is that? This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately, our mortgage was sold to Carrington so we had to put up with them for a couple of years until we moved. Several times, they claimed we did not submit a payment. We always paid online and on time. We had to keep screen shots to prove we had confirmation numbers because we kept not receiving confirmation emails. My mortgage was sold to this company too. First of all the third party payment portal is WESTERN UNION. At first I was not able to make an additional principal or escrow payment on my mortgage because they did not have the technology. I was told If I want to pay extra I wold have to mail the separate payment to a different address. That seems convenient! I'm very disappointed with the level of customer service. After being told I could make partial payments every two weeks, I am now behind on my mortgage because my payment has been applied to my principle. Had I been told this would happen I would have just made my payment on time. Instead of trying to help me with this matter they instead are charging me late fees. Very poor customer service.

This company began charging $5.00 to make a payment to them online, $10 to pay over the phone, and $20 to pay via customer service representative. I have always made my payments to them on-time via the online portal and this fee came without warning. This is a bad practice that I would expect to see from a payday lending company, but not a reputable mortgage company. Stay away from this company. They are horrible to deal with. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional and difficult company in my life. Chase sold my mortgage to them in December 2016 and I have had nothing but issues since. They tell you one thing on the phone and then it doesn't happen, then you call back 3 more times and get a different answer every time. I never had any problems with Chase, but this company will not give you a straight answer and even if it is documented that you were told one thing they don't care.

Carrington Mortgage services. I have had no issues with this company till now they stared charging for online payments so I set up auto draft this was only free way do make payment online .The 1st auto draft did not work right house payment was not paid on time I know this as soon as I found out I called and made the payment I have paid 13 years always pay 1st day payment is due .I talked to customer care they said yes we see what happened don't worry your payment history is great well not only charged me late fee but report... read more

This company has a TERRIBLE practice of soliciting unwanted services! I have been called no less than 25-30 times since Chase sold my account to Carrington for offers to refinance. My number is on the Do Not Call Registry, I have asked not to be called, and have also emailed them and asked not to be contacted anymore--several times!. They continue to contact me! This company is absolutely horrible! They keep screwing up our payments, which are set up for auto draft per their website. They are applying funds for principle only rather than half of the monthly payment, then calling us several times a day, asking for the payment. We have spoken with both customer service reps as well as supervisors, who have assured us the issue is fixed, only to have the same problem again.
