Carrington Mortgage uses them as my loan company. They started processing my loan June 2017 told me I was preapproved. I didn't sign another lease for my apartment. Because I was surpose to be moving into a home soon. My realtor and I found the home. I sent them so much paper work, it was very stressful. My loan was acquired from BOA all my personal info was shared including my ssn but my auto pay was stopped and was told i needed to restart it They can share my ssn but not transfer my auto pay I asked person on phone if he could share his ssn with me he said no I say now you know how I feel
So after my mortgage being at Bank of America for years, I learned it was transferred to Carrington Mortgage Services LLC. I received my first invoice for payment less than 10 days before it was due resulting in an online payment that cost an additional $5.00. I signed up for automatic payments, which takes 2 months to be effective in today's electronic world. I pay extra principal each month. I went with the bi-monthly payments. THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! BBB they are NOT an A+ company! They have put their customers over a barrel when it comes to making payments. They charge $5 to make an online payment! You HAVE to do automatic payments, oh & to make a payment over the phone $20! RIDICULOUS! I want to pay an escrow shortage & they don't include a payment voucher, because they don't really want you to pay it. I did not ask this company for a Mortgage I was as many transferred by Bank of America. They have terrible customer service. My home insurance and taxes went down and they continued to raise my mortgage until I contacted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and wage a complaint and then adjusted my account and sent me the credit amount in a check. They took it personal and retaliated treating me as a rival and not a customer by slandering me personally in their response thru the consumer financial protection bureau. If y... read more
Carrington Mortgage Services seems dishonest. Every time I try to pay principal early they apply to future interest payments in violation of FHA lease terms. Takes weeks to get it right. Even when payment is made with written instructions. Very sleazy, only will honor the FHA mortgage terms if you catch them and complain. I would say incompetent, but repeating the same mistake each time cheating a consumer can only be a calculated program of deciept. If you are reading reviews of Carrington Mortgage Services, then you are either one of the people who got sucked into their vacuum of hell, or you are trying to figure out if you should get a mortgage with them.
