Not sure how they are rated A+... I had shorted a payment on one of my loans (I pay a month ahead and the notice came after payment was made) They cashed the payment but didn't post it, then sent a letter stating late fee was due and a penalty. Then didn't pay my house insurance, when i called they said "that is because we canceled your escrow, we never should have been paying it" I have a VA loan which you cannot remove the escrow without re-fi. Not the best mortgage company in terms of helpfulness of their staff. My mortage was sold to Carrington Mortgage in 2016. The first issue we had with them was that no one from Carrington told us that that they do not use our escrow money to pay our HOA bill. Bank of America did this, and we were told by Carrington that nothing in terms of payment amounts, escrow etc would change. Very efficient & courteous. Alwsys returned calls & answered my questions promptly. Much better service than several previous attempts to re-finance. Absolutely great!!

At first when I saw some of the reviews I had my reservations, but after I applied and was going thru the process i must say that Elvis along with the entire loan processors made me feel welcomed, comfortable and positive as the process went on. I would greatly recommend if purchasing a home to call or E-mail Carrington Mortgage so that YOU can also enjoy having been serviced like I did.

This is a predatory lender. The buy mortgages from other lenders and then through poor communication and mishandling of payments, promptly begin the foreclosure process. They are currently threatening my 75 year old parents with eviction// foreclosure after buying their mortgage from US Bank and then not communicating to them about where payments would be sent. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY LOAN OR MORTGAGE OPTIONS.

I have been working with Mr. Aaron ****** at Carrington Mortgage. He has been assisting me in saving my 26 year home. Mr. ****** has been nothing other than superb. I know there are many negative reports of mortgage company's not helping homeowners save their home but , with Carrington, that is not the case. I am having the same problem as others. Carrington Mortgage purchased the remaining balance of my home equity loan from my prior mortgage company in September of 2017. The transfer balance was $2673.24. When I looked at Carrington's October statement is showed a balance of $2988.75. A difference of $315.51 added on somewhere. In February they gave me three choices since my loan had matured and there was still a balance owed.
