Go ahead and grab your ankles and lube up folks. My mortgage was sold to Carrington by BOA and I was immediately worried. My credit didnt drop, in fact it has been climbing, no late payments, the only thing I have done is make double payments so my 30 year fixed will be paid off in 13. I dont think BOA liked that. Carrington became our mortgage service company after Chase sold the loan to them, and it has been a nightmare since the beginning- the very first paymt I sent them was $1200.00+ (I got the pymt amt due from their website) but when the received it, they said it was short approx. $6.00 and denied the entire pymt, and mailed it back; That made our pymt late and they added fees. *** Sold my Mortgage to Carrington at the beginning of the year stating that payments should be directed to Carrington after 2/2/18. I had already paid my 2/1/18 to BOA which they promptly forwarded to Carrington Electronically with no issues. I then sent in my mortgage payment for 3/1/18 directly to Carrington. They cashed the check on 3/8/18. On Friday 3/23/18 I received a letter dated 3/18/18 from Carrington stating I was delinquent because they had no record of receiving my 3/1/18 payment. This is the most incompetent company that I have ever dealt with. I have had nothing but problems since I was forced to go with them by BOA, years ago. I have to follow my every payment to ensure it is posted correctly. I have a job, I shouldn’t have to do there’s as well. I have spent way too many hours on the phone, transferred numerous times and always end up with no results. Its like no one at this company ever has an answer, and if they do, its wrong. If I could put a million negative stars, I would.
This refinance was a very smooth transaction. And was done in a very business and timely manner.
