Our loan was sold to CM as of Sept 1st 2017, we received little information about them from our previous servicer DiTech. I attempted to call on Sept. 1st to make my payment however CM told me that they didn't have our loan information at that time and to give it a few days and they would get a welcome packet sent to us and we could make our payment. I am writing on behalf of one of my customers. She is an elderly woman who had an insurance claim for her front door. It has been nothing short of a nightmare to help her get a new door. We have been given the run around by this company. I finally got the deposit for services, but am told we will not get the rest until after the job is complete and has been inspected. Carrington STOLE MY MONEY!!! I have never had a company FORCE you to sign up for automatic payments. I have never been late on a payment either. I did not sign up initially because I only get paid once a month and depending on when the 1st is, I may not have the money to pay yet. In past months I have been charged an additional $5 to make an online payment. That is fine, I don't want anyone drafting out of my account with out my authorization. This is the most disorganized, backwards mortgage company in America. I try to make an online payment, and get a message "this account does not qualify for online payment." Want to make an automated phone payment? Expect to pay $10 extra. This is literally the only bill I have to waste a stamp on, here in 2017 AD. Miserable. They significantly raised my monthly payment so I called and they said I was "delinquent." That's a fighting word. Our mortgage recently transferred to them from another facility. I was okay with this; didn't see it as a huge issue. They even called and talked to us about refinancing - same number of months, lower payment and 1.75% less, so deal. Things were fine until I tried scheduling my payment ahead of time - I put it in for the 13th, knowing my check is direct deposited on the 12th. This place is the absolute biggest joke. My closing date on my house has been pushed back for 3 weeks and counting now b3cause they won't send me the CD I need to sign for closing. Do not go through them it's nothing but a hassle with these lazy people

This is a TERRIBLE mortgage company! I do not have anything positive to say what so ever. I decided to split my payment one month and instead of applying it to my payment due, they decided to hold my funds in a suspended account without telling me. Two months later, I happened to log onto my account and saw that it said I owed back payments! No warning, nothing! I was transferred to Carrington Mortgage by Citi Financial. I am used to this procedure because my mortgage has been transferred many times. Absolutely no problem. This Company is suppose to do business and no changes made to my account at all. This is not the case with this awful, despicable company.
