Thieves... that is what I think of when I think of this company. After speaking to one of their “Sr. Analyst”, I was informed that they were under charging my escrow to even match the previous years property taxes. To which they are supposed to do at bare minimum. This would have of course caused yet another shortage of where I would have paid them more money. I contacted Carrington Loan Services on Sep 3 and spoke to Anh-Mai N***** who goes by name of Andy N***** and is one of their loan officer, he asked me to provide an offer from another lender and he will beat it. I provided a loan disclosure estimate to him on Sep 6 from another lender. I was in process with other lender and on Sep 27, Andy called me telling me that he will beat the offer and provide a loan at 3.25% with no closing cost via lending credit and no escrow account. The worst experience ever!! Keep away! Their underwriters are incompetent - asking for ridiculous letters and verifications for tiny amounts of money that delayed me so much I was forced to file for an extension of closing and jeopardized my down payment! All over a $500 one time payment made 5 years ago?! (and I fair exceeded the needed income ratios). I will NEVER use this company again - DO NOT USE THEM!

Charges customers to make payment via there own website. Calls you two days if you mortgage hasn't been paid on the 1st of the month.

Just scammed me out of $10 for a payment over the phone. Fee was supposed to be waived due to their website not processing payments per one of their employees. Will not rectify nor admit their wrong doing.

First of all, Carrington charges you $5.00 to pay your mortgage payment online. My story: Renters snuck out of the house without notice the first of May, 2019. We discovered this on May 9, but renters could not sneak all of their possessions out in one moving truck so we were not allowed to enter and begin any type of work until June 1 after renters possessions they wanted to keep were removed from the home. Worst customer service ever! Very heartless! Have been treated like trash after being a customer over 7 years and was even hung up on by a supervisor because they said it was time for them to close.

Carrington Mortgage are terrible people to deal with and buy property up to force people out of homes to resell for profit. I was a good customer. I ran into a problem where 15,000 jobs were eliminated where I work. Mine being one of them. So I applied for a **** remodified loan only to denied not once but twice. I sent them all the info they needed. They said they have all they need. A month later I got a denial letter. Since that time my wife passed away. I tried again only to be denied. I was approved for a home mortgage. Paid the $535 for the appraisal. The appraiser submitted a blatantly low value for my home... nearly $50,000 LESS than my neighbor that has have the size property , at least 100 sq ft smaller and no upgrades! County Assessors office even has my property listed at nearly $50,000 MORE than the comparable properties.
