I could go on and on about Carrington and how terrible of a business this is. First of all, they bought my loan. I never chose to do business with them. We suffered an unavoidable hardship, we received help from HUD. This entire time Carrington has been trying to take our house. I am 100% sure that their company policy and goal is to foreclose on as many properties as they can. We bought our house as a great deal. This is probably one of the WORST Mortgage Companies I have ever dealt with. When I closed on my refinance, there was supposed to be two escrow accounts, one for my taxes and one for my insurance. Well, in there usual defunct manner, they setup the escrow account for taxes but never setup one for my insurance. So of course I didn't know that the insurance wasn't paid until I got a cancellation notice from the insurance company. So, I had to jump through hoops to get the insurance reinstated. Carrington bought my mortgage, I did not chose them. I had an INSURANCE CLAIM that I PAY for separate from their business. I had to mail my check to them to endorse because they hold the mortgage. They HELD MY CHECK for 2 full weeks JUST TO DO IT. They had no claim to the money nor anything to gain except for me to think less of them They are liars and I will NEVER do business with them as soon as this house sells. Terrible company. Glad that I was finally able to get my mortgage with someone else. If Carrington was to ever purchase my mortgage again I'm gonna just give them the house and walk away. DO NOT BELEIVE ANYTHING THEY SAY, ALWAYS GET IT IN WRITING OR RECORD YOUR CONVERSATIONS!!!!!! They can't be trusted.

On October 11th I made an online payment. This payment was the exact amount to pay off the late fees I had and October's payment. I previously was in touch with Carrington multiple times regarding paying off this loan as we are refinancing through another bank. I was told the payment online would be applied to October first and then late fees. Instead the funds were applied to October's payment, November's payment and the leftover applied to the late fees. In regards to Carrington Mortgage Services's conduct: On 9/27 I spent the better part of two hours resolving a payment processing issue which was the result of a problem in Carrignton's automatic payment system. I have always been on automatic payments, for the lifetime of my loan, and have never missed a payment; yet, Carrington saw fit to not only fail to draft the payment timely, as authorized and indicated on their website's automatic payment processing system, but also saw fit to fine me for not completing the transacti... read more

My buyer was a mortgage companies dream client- great income, great credit, huge down payment. Both realtors and Title BEGGED CARRINGTON TO RESPOND DURING ESCROW. 5 Escrow Extensions due to Carrington's incompitence. Called my real estate lawyer friend and he new all about Carrington's reputation. We are putting our case together now.

Paper Billing doesn't match Online Payment. I contacted Customer Service and they provide just excuses and never try to solve the problem that is on their side.
