They attempted to double charge my account for one month. Now they only accept certified funds. Do not use Carrington Mortgage Services, use another Mortgage company. Customer Service is usually angry when you talk with them, they must treat their employees and their customers poorly. *** *

If I could rate Carrington Mortgage Services with a “0”, I would. Very disappointed at Carrington Mortgage Services on how they handle the COVID-19 forebarence program. They don’t explain how the program work. The past due amounts are due at the end of the forebarence and it shows delinquent on your credit report until all past due amounts are paid. If not able to pay the past due, they have a 3 month plan which doubles your monthly payment or you can get a HUD loan or you can apply for a 6 month plan but there is no guarant... read more

All of these reviews are right on i went into forbearance with the understanding that payments would be put on back end of loan, i called yesterday to check since the web page still had up that i owed the May 1st payment, come to find out they never but my forbearance through and then today i find out my credit was hit with a 30 day late payment ding 110 points gone on my credit report , and of course the agent told me you signed the contract so you are obligated to pay, these people are a real joke stay far away if someone ... read more

With Covid-19 causing lenders to stop giving out loans, we were given Carrington as an option. We went through the loan process on a house we already had an agreement on. Every step with this company is extremely slow. They use Covid-19 as an excuse, but our realtor even said that they were much slower than other lenders during the same time period. I am truly disappointed, offended, and utterly upset at the treatment I have received from Carrington Mortgage today, total disrespect from the representative that first called me, and then supervisor that I was trying to report a complaint with. I have never been treated so rudely, or inconsiderate of a customer, customers do not come first with this company!!! My loan was sold to them from *****. I have been diligently and responsibly paying my mortgage for 11 years and never have I had an issue with either **** or *****, the two companies that have held my loan. Carrington practices are shady at best, they do not know how to train their customer service reps to give the right information, the communications they do deliver are extremely misreading and confusing. NEGATIVE NUMBER RATING!! Carrington Mortgage is the worst company I have ever worked with. They have no ethics, no knowledge, this company does not care about customers! I never chose to be a customer and I think anyone with this mortgage company should be called A MORTGAGE VICTIM. Why do companies like this get away with hurting people, do they have no regulations? WHY DOES NO ONE STOP THESE CROOKS?
