Applied for refinance with this mortgage company. (They were my loan-holders). Received preliminary approval, but then all contact with loan officer and underwriter was lost. Informed that officer no longer worked there, and I would be assigned to his supervisor. This never happened, after numerous attempts to re-initiate process with no success, I requested that my application be rescinded. Still haven't heard response from company. This is unprofessional and simply bad business.

Our mortgage was sold to Carrington Mortgage in December 2019. We were in the middle of loan modification with previous mortgage company who advised all our paperwork was transferred to Carrington to complete the process. We also made copies of the paperwork and sent it certified mail to ensure that they have it. Around June 2020, we received our first letter from Carrington advising we forfeited on the modification. They didn't send me a bill last month, so I naturally forgot to pay. You'd think that they might send you an email on the day you are about to be late, but no, they wait a good week so they can charge a late fee and send a nastygram by snail mail. This is not my first issue. I've also had instances where I've sent in the payment in plenty of time, only to have them process it (find it) late and try to charge the fee. Made me make a second payment in one month when I’m already not working due to my sons brain tumor! They lost the money after they cashed my check never told me and tried to give me a late fee and mark my credit! I still haven’t received my money back and I’m in desperate need of money at this time! I got my returned check from the bank and it’s been cashed by them! Where is my money??!!!

Absolutely, unequivocally the worst company I have ever dealt with. Starting from how they answer the phone and most importantly how they care/or lack there of, for your needs, wants and desires. During the beginningCovid-19 I needed to ensure that ultimately my employees were paid as that is my responsibility, so I began taking all measures possible to minimize cost of things to ensure that could happen. I'm so pissed with Carrington mortgage. Nobody there knows to provide an accurate information. I need that the insurance department clear or sign a claim that I made about my house. I'm still waiting to see if someone call me with a response.

A payment was made and it was not credit to our account. I have sent documents three times through email of the cancelled check and no one has responded. Our original loan was not with them it was sold and I really hate it. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

If I could give a rating less than 1 star I would. Our home loan was sold to this company several years ago. We had no complaints until we started a refinance with carrington, The person assigned to our loan was Jaylen Edward H****. We started the refinance in July 2020 and to date, we are still waiting. No valid communication from this person or carrington, just excuses for why it was taking so long.
