If it would let me do see starts I would. I was pre approved spent money and time over 30 days getting everything done they ran my credit 2 times so now have those inquiries on my credit scheduled the closing date then 3 days before closing tells me they are not approving the loan. Bunch of crap. Do not ever use this company

I have been dealing w Carrington for about 5yrs now. I fell behind on my mortgage and credit card bills, which was entirely my fault, and I had to file for bankruptcy. I have tried 2 times now to get a loan mod. Every time i sent in my paperwork they would tell me that they did not get them or parts were missing. Well I got tired of repeatedly sending them the same stuff so just gave up. Which is exactly what they're intention was from the beginning. Carrington Mortgage is an absolute joke. We started an FHA loan with them on April 23. We were pre-approved. I have a DTI of 9%, make great money, have 15% down. Was approved in June. Paid for appraisal. Jumped through 100 hoops. Yesterday we signed the closing disclosure. The closing company was hired and the date set. Today they decided to kick the loan, no explanation, no reason. 3 and 1/2 months of time wasted. They are an absolute joke to work with.

Carrington is the best example of the worst of the worst. They must cultivate a don't care attitude. We needed a roof replacement, our Insurance was prompt and complete. I needed Carrington to endorse the check because they hold the mortgage. I've been patient, I sent all the insurance information ahead of time to assist the loss draft process. I supplied the UPS tracking #, the insurance check was DELIVERED the next day, it was SIGNED for on 7/7/2020. They quote a 3 day turnaround for endorsing an insurance check to pay for... read more

I OWN my property and home outright. I paid cash for the land and I paid cash for the materials I used to build my house without a contractor, loan or mortgage! I HAVE NEVER HAD A MORTGAGE!!!! This company calls me everyday and sometime 2 or 3 times a day with robocalls. When I call them back they ask for my SS# and when I won't give it they disconnect. This is a SCAM & HOAX to steal my identity!

Worst mortgage company ever! My loan was sold to this shady company that charges fees to pay your mortgage.. Their website is horrible! Difficult to navigate. I have been in forbearance during the Covid crisis. I was laid off for 2 1/2 months & my husband's hours were cut. I called Carrington & was told about the forbearance option which I accepted for 3 months. Today I called to make a payment & was told loan forbearance has been automatically extended until Sept. This is the worst banking institution that I have ever dealt with. Their online payment system seems to be intentionally designed to allow them to charge as many fees as possible. That's slimy business. Avoid Carrington Mortgage in every way possible.

Awful is an understatement! We were sold to the his company from our previous lender right before Covid hit. I can tell you that they offered no assistance other than a forbearance in which the entire amount was due at the end of that forbearance. Way to be there for the American people by trying to stealing their homes and ruin their credit during a pandemic! I will do everything in my power to never work with this company again!!!
