Dealing with the staff at Carmax is NOT worth one's time, energy, and money. The pricing on its vehicles, considering the quality and conditions, is a scam. Carmax does not care about the quality and conditions of its vehicles, but, instead, just ripping one off and stealing his money. Horrible service! Took my online estimate to carmax office as told to be honored. Once there they claimed we sent in a different application then we did, therefore our offer went from $1,900.00 guaranteed online, to $500. We were unable to copy our application as we filled it out, our code confirming our offer was lost & the application they said was what we sent in, was NOT at all! Scam!!!!
Carmax have the worst customer service. I was told they will call me as soon as the camera part for my truck comes in but was never contacted after 2+ months. While my trucks back-up camera was not working for over 3 months I became frustrated waiting for Carmax ************ I ended up scheduling my service done elsewhere. Thankful for Dodge Auto Nation for getting the parts for me asap and had my camera *********** away.
Oh dear god this has been the worst payment experience ever. I'm through Carmax's internal credit and payment system, and I've been trying to make a payment for 3 weeks, and they can't EXPLETIVE ************** so it stops asking me to update my profile so I can sign in and make a payment. I've had another 30 day late hit on my EXPLETIVE report because I can't sign into the EXPLETIVE system to pay. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM CARMAX AGAIN.
I purchased a 2020 ******* 380 on 6/17/2022. At the time of purchase, one of the tires was leaking air. I was apprised of the issue a work order was submitted. About ten days in, I received a call from the service department advising that the new tire had arrived; however, even after I told the rep that the tire was actively leaking air, the replacement was not prioritized and I was told that the first, available service appointment was a week later. My fiancee sold her car to CarMax. They issued what they called a bank draft for the amount of the selling price. I asked the salesperson (who was the business office manager), if they needed acct/routing numbers so they could transfer the funds. She said "No.. we do a bank draft. I said right... I purchased my car July of 2020. I have regretted my decision since! CarMax has had my vehicle more than I have personally had my vehicle! My car has been in and out of the shop non-stop since I bought it! For weeks and months at a time. Most of the negative experiences at this ********** ** Carmax had to do with the fact that nobody seemed to know what part of the process I was in. No issues buying the car and the lady that helped us at the dealership (I wish I remembered her name because she was the only helpful one) was very nice and helpful. However, I have had the car more than 3 months and have not received my registration or tags. I was told I needed to get the inspection done myself because they waited to long and paperwork was out of date.
