If I could rate 0 thats what I strongly would rate my overall experience with Carmax and it Staff. I get that they could only sympathize with me but not helping with a common resolution is another cause they know of all the problems just not willing to just get me out of this lemon that they have sold me. I drove 3 hours only to be told that they couldn't buy my car out from ally after I had an appointment and they knew all of the details. Very disappointed. Would never use them again My vehicle wasn't excellent condition. Never had a problem. I guess alls they want is vehicles that have problems. It looks like to me by the comments that I'm reading
I love the concept Who doesnt want to look over an inventory of cars, all the while dodging the shady used car salesman. The prices seemed a touch high, but the quality seemed to be there. WELL then they screwed me. I found a car, made an agreement to pick up and buy, had them run my credit (and my wifes ) got all the paperwork lined up, financing done I was told I could come pick up in about 4 days, could be up to a week. I purchased a car from ****** in ******** ** on May 8th, only for the car to break down about 30 miles from the dealership, I called the service center and spoke with the manager ******** who assured me he would have a loaner vehicle ready for me when I returned with the towed vehicle, only to get there 2 hours later, and he was no where to be found, and other managers had no knowledge of my situation, he was located about an hour later and was very unapologetic and passed the blame on to his associates I am strongly conside... read more
I purchased a car and within 2 days noticed it had significant mechanical problems. Thankfully CarMax has a no questions asked return policy. I clearly shared with them the mechanical issues it had because obviously I don't want the next customer to experience the same. Clearly ********************** ignored my warnings about the issues and placed the car on the lot the very next day. Buyer beware.
If I could give 0 stars I would. We bought a 2017 Jeep grand Cherokee in 2021. They sold us the warranty for the car and the sales pitch was if anything breaks bring it in. Its covered. When we bought it we noticed immediately there was an issue with the breaks. Warped rotors. They said they would fix. We have had the car in their shop 3 times since 2021 all for warped rotors. The pads are fine but the rotors are warping. So either they use cheap parts or turn them beyond spec. Their reply this time is that the car has too m... read more
The staff seem like nice people and I understand they can't control what car they sell, always a risk to the buyer, which is me... but this has been my worst car buying experience ever. I have not even had the car for 90 days or driven it over **** miles. It has been in their service shop seemingly non stop.1. Absolutely dismayed by this company at this point. I purchased a Jeep from them with less than ****** mi. I was told that all the recalls had been repaired and there was no factory recalls at time of purchase.Turns out the clutch stabilizer was recalled and had not been repaired. There was an issue with the emergency break that I haven't been able to get repaired.The radio didn't work which I have to get repaired.
