The problem with this hotel is simple: they know that, no matter how bad your stay is, you’ll be back because it’s the only hotel in the middle of the state that can accommodate conventions and large meetings. In particular, the restaurant and food service was awful. No servers, took an hour to get a meal and had to shove it down to get back to the meeting on time. Meeting rooms are either hot or cold and everything looks dated.
Great service, especially Carol, who waited on us for breakfast.
WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! Had to switch rooms in the middle of my stay, was lied to about why, phone didn’t work in my room so I had to call from my cell at 10:30 to complain about the horrifically LOUD group of JOBS Daughters making noise when I’m trying to sleep because I’m here for a work conference. I will NEVER stay here again. There were other issues, but I don’t have the time to go into detail. Don’t waste your time and ability to rest. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again.

Capitol Plaza Hotel has outstanding customer service. I was nervous about how I was going to pump at the Digital Government conference that I am attending today. I asked the front desk if there was a room besides the ladies room that I could use to pump. They gave me a room key for the duration of the day!

We got a confirmation letter of what type of room we were supposed to get and when we got here we got a different room. The toilet seat was broken, the bathroom door was hanging on by 1 hinge, and the plug for the TV kept falling out from the back. I called down to the front desk and requested everything be fixed. I was away all day and nothing was fixed. One of elevators broke and we were told it happens every year. Update, they did make a nice gesture to compensate us for our problems.

Thank you Rebekah. As you were informed at check-in we did have our Water Company shut off the hotel due to an issue that needed repaired. I apologize as we were at the mercy of the water company. When water was turned on it does take a little to to get through all 9 floors of our building. Please feel free to call our General Manager to discuss your issues over the last 10 years. The management has rented the downstairs to a group performing karaoke until 11pm this evening. Bad manager. Actually said there is very little he can do because they paid for the space. But, he will ask them to keep it down. The entire hotel is being subjected to this nightmare.
