I have stayed here since 2013 for the MCDA conference. Not again. My room was a complete mess. Dripping AC, black mold in the shower, smelled musty, and the best part.... both my smoke alarms malfunctioned and instead of immediately replacing them, the guy took them down and was like “I get off in 5 minutes, so it’ll just have to be like this” I asked if they were just smoke detectors or smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and he wasn’t sure.... that was Wednesday night, checked out today, still no smoke detectors. The lower level of the hotel, the parking garage, and the parking lot are under water, yet they are still open. The front desk cannot tell you how to get from the parking lot next door without driving back to the main artery, even though you are 500 yards from the door. No bellman, they go home before check in. Restaurant? Nope. Close after breakfast. They have you park 5 miles away and bring you on a bus. It is a third world country here, but they bill you as if it were nice. Horrific!
This is really a great hotel. Truthfully I had heard some stories about infrastructure issues here, but we haven't experienced anything that has been anything less than very good and pleasant. Even with the flooding here the hotel has done everything possible to make things as normal as possible. Yes, the parking garage is flooded and unusable, but the hotel has provided another parking lot and a continuously running shuttle to make things as pleasant as possible. Hospitality by the staff were exceptional
The staff was great. friendly and very accommodating for my dog and cat. Breakfast buffet was very good!

I bought a Groupon for a two night stay. The good: they allowed an early check in. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. Centrally located. The not so good: There was no hot water at anytime of the day. The breakfast buffet was mediocre and over priced. A manager berated a staff member in front of my son and I in the dining area. The pool was so chlorinated, it was irritating to my throat, nose and eyes and I didn’t even get in the pool.
