I have stayed here many times and have watched it go down hill. Needs a desperate cleaning, updated carpet, walls, and furniture, and need more plug-ins. Sad to say that a lower end hotel chain would had have been about the same and cheaper for the tax payers.

It was the worst bridal show I ever been to. It was very small. A few of the vendors were very snooty. My girls & I had walked it all in less than an hour. The 1 I went to in 2003 was Amazing! Very disappointed!

Beth Nichols -thank you for the feedback. The Capitol Plaza Hotel was a vendor at the show; however Central Missouri Bridal Association are the meeting planners for this Fall Show. Basically they rent our ballroom space to have the show. They do 2 shows a year: one is in January which is the larger show and the other in the Fall which is a smaller show for them. I had a great stay. I was there for a dinner/conference. Food was good, the hotel was nice and I was impressed for $25/day I could take my dog instead of leaving him at home outside overnight.

Stayed 2 nights for a nursing conference & eclipse viewing on 8/21/17. Staff were friendly and quickly responded to needs. Room clean, bed comfortable, TV large screened and worked fine, nice pool & gym. Breakfast buffet good, conference salad/sandwich/ice cream social very tasty. It is a little "used, musty in the lobby" but that didn't bother me. So 3- 4 stars. This hotel's location is also perfect to tour the nearby State Capitol and monuments on the grounds, plus the fabulous Victorian Governor's Mansion. It is near the ... read more
