Great food, great service, great atmosphere. – Went to Campbell?s on Saturday night. Hadn't been there in quite a while. The place has changed quite a bit. They have a fresh coat of paint and new decor to make it feel quite homey. We ordered the family size platter for 4 but could have gotten away with one for 3 as there was plenty of food on it. Surprisingly Good! – Beef Brisket was Fresh moist and thick sliced right out of the oven...so I could eat it with a fork without a knife...my friends told me that there was a new management and they were right, place was clean, elegant, and best of all the food was 100% better and the sides....well, there were plenty of sides and they were all surprisingly good....Mac & Cheese was delicious, and coleslaw was good too. Good quality food at reasonable price. – The comments on citysearch was confusing, some people were either loving it or hating it. So I tried their food out of curiosity, because I was hungry for some bbq... This was bad BBQ – I have never had worse BBQ in my life. All of the food tasted (and looked) like it was made days before and just re-heated. AND nobody was there and now I know why. Don't go if you like good southern BBQ!!! We left most everything on our plates and left hungry.
Nice customer service, atmosphere, great food that deserves my review... – Beef ribs were easy to eat, tender and juicy yet not burnt. Pork ribs were so good that I didn't need sauce to eat. I just had a part y there for my birthday for 20 people and from dishes to customer service was excellent. Potato salad was the best I've had, coleslaw was little fruity but good. Greens were clean yet flavorful. I would definitely come back for good food. They have earned me as a loyal customer... Leila.
Better food than most I've been...new sides are absolutely wonderful(candied yams and baked beans) – I had the potato salad that was out of this world, with bits of crunchy celery and relish. Pork and beef ribs were fall off the bone soft to eat. My friends had candied yams and baked beans that was absolutely wonderful to have, the flavors that I would want to come back again for. good home cookin I haven't had in a long time... – blackeyed peas with ham hocks,their marionberry cobbler was del-e-cious! I have never had such a cobbler like that anywhere in the country,...it's a winner! Their Buffalo ribs were nice to have, something special than your regular bbq...it was leaner than beef but tasty and meaty..,.next time I'll try their wild boar ribs. The worst BBQ – I used to go to Campbell's BBQ and it was a place that welcomed you and had Portland's best BBQ. We just got the Pork Ribs and Sausage. The ribs were over cooked and dry. There was abolutely no taste to the ribs. The BBQ Sauce was bacically run of the mill grocery store stuff. The cole slaw was ok but not even close to what the previous owners made. The sausage was just slices of substandard product. I would never go to Cambells again!
Nice Ambience,reasonable price, best beef and pork ribs. Fantastic sides, Candied Yams & Baked beans. – I haven't been to Campbell's in a year, I used to go there when the previous owners were there and place was like a rundown old texas neighborhood joint...but now the place was remodeled like a nice restaurant, and their beef and pork ribs were moist and tender, I can see the bones already separating from the meat on the warmed plate...not like before when it was little tough and scorched.
