good customer service – baked beans with ham hocks were nice addition, as well as their free samples of 7up cake and red velvet cake...nice touch for a Christmas. They changed the beef and pork ribs, it was good before but now it's better than before because colors are very light, not burnt looking. I think they have the best ribs in Portland. Nothing to write home about – I went to Campbell's with 6 others for my birthday dinner. Overall a barely satisfactory experience, certainly not anywhere near the phenomenal experience some folks here have raved about. Highlights: Pork ribs with medium sauce were very tasty. Greens were good. Lowlights: Potato salad tasted like it just came out of a plastic bucket, way too sweet. Beef ribs were very dry. best potato salad ever tasted – I was eating their meal when they suddenly brought out their new potato salad to try...it was good before, but now it's somuch better. Their beef brisket was lean and sliced, not fatty...fats were all trimmed. Smokey brown sugar sauce was wonderful, medium was little hot but not too hot. Woudn't go there again – I was extremely dissapointed after finaly getting a chance to go to Campbell's. I have tried alot of BBQ in Portland and this was the worst i've had thus far. The ribs were extremely dry and smothered in sauce to compensate. The coleslaw was mediocre, potatoe salad seemed like it came out of a container, and cornbread tasted like it was reheated in a microwave. The Worst BBQ in Portland – I have not gone back to Campbell's in over a year. On my last visit, I ordered beef brisket and got chopped up slow cooked slop that is used on the sandwiches. I complained to the server that this was not a brisket...a slice of beef. She had some lame excuse about that is what they use when they run out of the slices of beef. restaurant with a heart. – I saw the manager women give a ride to the old lady on a walker back to her home last night, because she was concerned for her safety. Now that is a great service...
