My wife, and infant moved into this "202 Copper" during the worst parts of the pandemic, things for the most part were still closed. This leasing office for whatever reason was still open. They did however take advantage of the situation and wouldn't let us see the apartments except through a FaceTime call. However, folks that were caucasian were still getting live tours. Worse Business I’ve ever encountered. Horribly unprofessional! We have been trying to work with this place to get out of our daughter’s lease from Nov 2020 (for Aug 2021) . Wage never took possession or stepped foot in their facility due to personal, health issues and student status. They are now suing us for rent, insurance and a bunch of other charges she didn’t use. I read as many reviews about this company as I could. I think I saw some of my predicament in every other review. I have tried on numerous occasions to resolve the issues of living at ******************* with the front office. They are as phony as they come, they pretend to care about what's happening in our community but they do absolutely nothing. This apartment has fake advertising on their website. Apartments look nothing like the ones they are showing- they are all run down and leaking and ugly. You can tell a lot about a management company by the first step into the building. If you step into this building, it looks like the carpets are from 40 years ago and it smells in there. I live in the Ashton Apartments in Herndon Virginia managed by Greystar. For the past month we have not had a functioning washing machine. Several maintenance people have come in but have not resolved the issue. The machine continues to, not spin spew water and not close properly. We have asked for a replacement several times but the office manager ignores our request. We are currently washing our clothes at a laundry mat.
After I moved out, they tried to scam me for some fees that I wasn't entitled to. After months of negotiation with the receiveable team, they reduced the amount of outstanding balance because they couldn't prove the amount they planned to charge me is legit. Isn't it sketchy? I didn't bother to review the new **** again but I still feel this is a very dishonest company.
Well... I wish I could change the tide of these reviews, but everyone nailed it. Unfortunately, one star is required. Since Greystar took over ********* Apartments in *********, **. early 2021, it's a nightmare. No communication about any changes or actions, other than rarely sent, poorly written email announcements. No email replies from office. If I get give a rating of 0 I would. Think twice before signing a lease and moving into this property. There were problems from DAY ONE. My gate keyfobs were never programmed and took over a week AFTER moving in, to get them. My name was never put into the visitor call box - resulting in me being locked out on day 3 of moving in. They were quick to deposit my deposit, but took their time in granting appropriate access (gate fobs & name in call box). I would not recommend this apartment complex. If you have a question or complaint then you better hope you can catch them at a time when the office is actually open. Calling or emailing multiple times won’t even get you a call back. If you place a maintenance request, no matter if it is important or not, they won’t respond for a minimum of a week.
