Absolutely horrendous company. After living in my apartment for 6 years, never missing a payment etc. I was told my tenancy would not be renewed due to a “mandatory renovation.” I was originally offered the opportunity to relocate to a renovated unit, but after several attempted conversations with management- which was the property manager screaming at me- I received an official non renewal and would not be offered the opportunity to relocate. The property itself is so decayed, with the water being shut off several times a w... read more

We spoke with the people in the ****** of ********** Apartments and asked if we could rent an apartment for 4 months. After some discussion, we were told they would allow us to rent for 4 months. Before we were allowed to rent an apartment, we were required to read through 41 pages of very small print and sign our names 16 times. It took over 2 hours to read through everything. We were just happy that someone let us rent an apartment for 4 months. After we moved in and things settled down, we discovered that the lease we sig... read more

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to provide us feedback on your experience. While it may be our standard practice to end leases on a natural month end date and to prorate the partial month, we acknowledge that this could be confusing to the customer. We are using your feedback as a training opportunity and new practices are being put in place to make sure we clearly review the determination of lease end dates. We apologize for the inconvenience this situation has caused you. If you have additional questions or concerns, we woul... read more

One star is ONE star too many!!! I've rented properties for the last 15 years all over the US. I've never rented a Greystar property before, and WON'T EVER DO IT AGAIN! Every week it seems there's another issue. I live in Santana Row in San Jose, Ca. Our parking isn't patrolled and management does nothing, leaving tenants no spots to park despite paying for permitted parking. When you ask management, they insist they are towing, but even today, there is a car with a warning on it that has been there for 3 weeks, not moved an... read more

Hmmmm... keeping folks Admin Fees even when denied seems very scammy, unethical even, ... making monies either way huh.... Ive never experienced a denial 1st , && then to treat the excessive fees as if it's $20 is unsettling post Covid considering people trying to get things back on track.......... ???????????? I will be filing (HUD/ Fair Housing ) complaints until this is justified...

If I could award negative stars, I would. Greystar only cares about making money. They don't care about creating inconveniences for residents. The property I live in has been under construction for over a year. They are remodeling by covering things with "fresh paint" and upgrading appliances all for a near $500 increase in rent for everyone. If you don't want to pay the increase, you can move out is the only option given. In fact, if you want to stay a resident at all you must move to a more expensive unit. This clearly put... read more

**** star took over **************** in the ahwatukee area within *******. Ive lived in this townhome for close to ***************************************************************************** a week with an increase of $400 in base rent! Due to the sudden notice, we asked to give us time to rethink, however they never sent any written notification that allowed us to know if we were exempt from penalties. I was told to contact the regional manager of this area o negotiate with pricing. I gave her multiple calls and an email ... read more

I live in Apex Apartments in Tacoma, WA; they are "managed" by Greystar. I moved in here a month ago. I really wanted to like the place--it’s in a convenient location and a spacious apartment. It’s not cheap, they have “strict” regulations on guests, and make it appear as if they care about security, so I assumed it would be better run. I was mistaken. When we first got there to move in they didn’t even have our paperwork, and we had to wait like an hour for someone else to come in and issue the keys. Not a good first impres... read more

Extremely poor management with no communication. We haven't had heat in over 2 weeks and no timeline of it being fixed. Since it's an older building with 3 sliding glass doors in the apartment that are not well maintained, there is a huge draft and the interior temperature drops quickly at night.UPDATE: The heat was finally fixed, but now it does not shut off completely so it stays too hot around 78 in the apartment and most of the time we have to keep the sliding doors cracked to reach a comfortable temperature. Obviously t... read more
