Dr. Shafer's PA, Jason, was excellent. He spent time examining me and asking questions. He is a great listener too. Dr. Shafer explained things to me and explained the options for my treatment. We decided on the least invasive treatment. Start with Physical Therapy.

Dr. Shafer repaired a torn labrum in my shoulder. This was my second surgery directly after having a repair on the same labrum 1.5 years earlier by a different doctor. Dr. Shafer's repair feels 1000x better than my prior repair with very little clicking and rough patches in my shoulder's movement. Dr. Shafer was honest with me and really showed a genuine interest in repairing my shoulder (as it was pretty tore up). Waited until the morning of the surgery to tell me what was involved. Did not talk to me after the surgery. Very little guidance in how to fully recover after surgery.
