Dr. Shafer is very personable, and knowledgeable. Get's to the point and explain the condition, next steps, and potential future procedures in a clear and succinct manner. I have been treated by Dr. Shafer in the past, and have nothing but positive experiences.

So very -AMAZING that Dr. Shafter agreed to see me as there was a discrepancy (on my part) as to my appointment time. Sitting in Dr. Shafer's presence on my first visit - I felt that we had a Dr./Patient relationship that went far back - that's how personable he is. He understood my problem and explained that surgery wasn't imminent and not a viable option at that time. I was relieved to hear that!
Met Dr Shafer and Jason his PA for the first time. Both Drs. are amazing. Jason accessed my shoulder, reviewed what I told him. He came up w/a plan in which we are going to postpone the surgery further. I really wasn't ready for it just yet. Dr Shafer agreed w/the plan and they both are going to follow me as I go along. Thank you both for being great listeners and for your amazing diagnoses!

As always, Dr. Shafer was attentive, focused, courteous and thorough. He is an excellent physician and a genuinely nice person.
Dr Shafer does a great job of evaluation & managing shoulder pain. His goal is what is best for his patient, & surgery is recommended only after other options are considered. I had a left reverse shoulder replacement several years ago with wonderful results. I’m now working through management of pain in the other shoulder. I trust his judgement & his surgical expertise. His office staff has been available & have given helpful advice as well.
