Really like Dr Shafer. He gave me confidence about my problem and suggested things that I could do to help put off surgery for awhile. Would recommend him to anyone and think highly of him. And if and when I do need surgery I will definitely have Dr Shafer do it.
Dr.Shafer was very nice, he explained what the X-rays said, and recommended I see a surgeon, as he couldn’t do any more for me

Saw Dr Shafer for my annual visit following my (LT) Shoulder Arthroplasty. Dr. Shafer was his congenial self as usual. Xrays were good, everything in place. Dr. Shafer gave my wife and I the time needed to address all questions & concerns. He is a great surgeon, understanding, straightforward, courteous. There are no dumb questions. Would recommend him to anyone with shoulder or knee issues. He addressed my bilateral knee OA previously and I continue to do well in that regard thanks to his excellent care.
Dr. Shafer articulated my shoulder problem perfectly, and wants to help me heal rather than immediately suggest surgery. I was very pleased with his bedside manner and his professionalism.
Appointments are on time, staff very friendly and efficient. Dr Shafer’s skill and professional demeanor is top shelf in this reviewer’s opinion.!

Dr Shafer is caring, knowledgeable, and professional in his manner and treatment of his patients. He was very thorough in his diagnosis of my issues at my recent appointment and in giving me a shot of cortisone COMPLETELY eliminated the pain I was experiencing in my left knee.
