Ive noticed every time I provide my phone number at Big Lots within 5 - 7 days I start recg unidentified calls. They always hang up. Its usually 3 calls and then I get a suspected scam call, which I do not answer. They NEVER say my name but the last VM stated they were from ******** unemployment *** & needed more information for my fraud case. Ive never filed for unemployment with the *****************. The whole reason I bought a couch vs something like ******** marketplace was so it would be delivered to my door as I live in an apartment on the 3rd floor. They left it at the BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS practically in the parking lot. NO other furniture company has done this. This is lazy service. I had to call someone to help bring it up the stairs and we both had to take time out of our workdays to do so because you can't leave a couch sitting there for someone to take. I was lied to by a cashier. I was checking out and he said he didn't have any bags and if I wanted one, I would have to purchase one of their reusable bags. I was buying several heavy things so I went ahead and bought the reusable bag. However, my daughter checked out right as I was but her cashier had plenty of bags. When I contacted the store manager, she didn't offer any customer service or even apologize for her employee lying to me. The bag wasn't expensive but the cashier shouldn't be lying to customers.
I bought a super nice canopy. Only problem is the sales paper said ***** and in super small print and up so went to check out paid with a card as most do paid with a card and made it to the car and looked at the receipt it was $111 . Was shocked didn't return it . It was still a decent value but still borderline false advertising. Also looked at all the boxes in the stack no pricing on or around the packages. So in conclusion don't trust big lots sales papers.
Buy a couch and rocking chair had the rocking chair for 2 weeks it broke come to find out it was a recall so took chair back they said they didn't have one in stock instead of telling me that they would order me another one they gave me the four model instead which was pretty crappy because they should have at least gave me a discount on the four model or the option of waiting for a new chair paid $400 for the chair I've had it 4 months now and the chair is acting up already very unhappy very dissatisfied and will never get ... read more
I was issued an in store credit for my money of a product that I did not get and the card does not work I have called them but no reply back yet. I will never buy from them again.
Terrible customer service. I purchased a sectional and scheduled it for next-day delivery. Delivery was pushed back multiple times before I cancelled the order and ordered something different for pick-up in the store. I got this sectional home, and upon first use, the recliner broke. I purchased a desk with them and did not receive the desk in the picture. After spending three hours on the phone trying to clarify I was told i only purchased a piece of what was on the picture. I was told I could purchase the other piece at Ashleys furniture. I called Ashleys and they confirmed the desk I purchased comes in one piece and not in two pieces. Complete false advertising even after I tried three hours to clear this matter up.
Ordered online and tried to call or chat right after order be was not successful. Sent email to cancel and got email back for cancelation. Called next day and got confirmation #. Got an email for delivery so I called customer support and got transfer then hung up on. Chatted with customer support and was told I could not cancel just return or refuse delivery. What a scam.
