Big lots is the worst place to buy furniture! They sell all damaged junk, spent money to rent truck, brought furniture home, opened box, dresser completely busted. Returned and asked for refund for rental truck told to call customer service. Left a message with someone twice still no call back. People in store could care less about the 2 hours wasted picking this furniture up and could care less that money was wasted on rental truck. Ordered a couch that came with a rip in it. I wanted a replacement arm piece. Now I want a refund. It was an online order. I talked to someone online, and they told me to contact the store it came from. I contacted the store, and they told me there was nothing they could do because it was an online order. Called the help number again, and they told me they would file an official complaint and that I would be contacted in 2-3 business days. That was 3 (almost 4) days ago. I paid for what I thought was going to be an outdoor sectional. I paid for two of them. They were in a box with a picture of a whole sectional. When I went to pick them up I realized it was only one piece of the sectional, which is totally useless unless you have all the pieces, which they did not even have. Because they were on sale Big Lots would not let me return then for a refund.

This company is a joke. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I ordered for cyber monday online and received my order. When I opened my order it was the wrong item so naturally I called customer service to correct the issue. The customer care employee told me to contact the store i ordered from. So I did. in order for me to get the correct item, I was told to return the item and reorder the product. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to return the item and reordered the product. I made a purchase of 2 recliners and I put the payment on my big lots credit card, and now I got a bill for a payment, but I don’t think it’s right that I have to make a payment when I haven’t received my merchandise. Thank you

Horrible experience with online ordering and pickup. Website information regarding inventory is inaccurate. We ordered a Christmas blowup gnome. The website said there were SIX in stock. We received an email to come and pick it up. We arrived and they tried to give us a much cheaper elf blowup. The manager advised they didn't have any in stock. We asked her why we were told to come in and pick up something they don't even have in inventory. More importantly, why does the website indicate there are six in inventory. Bait and ... read more

They sell sofas of poor quality. They rip and tear and snag. They talk you into purchasing an insurance policy that wont even cover the snags to the sofa. The manager promises to purchase new cushions to see if that will help but the whole sectional is just a piece of c*** I will never purchase anything there again. Their customer service ***** as well.

************** store is an absolute dumpster fire. Manager ***** is rude and completely ruined my experience based completely on our interaction. The store itself is a mess and waiting to PAY for a furniture item is about a hour long process. The staff is slow and has zero since of urgency. ***** might be slower and I am pretty sure she went to the back and just sat. She also is using profanity on the floor in front of my 4 year old. If I could give negative stars I would. I purchased a couch in April 2021. First it was back ordered and it took forever to get in. They had a display which they would not let you buy but that is not my complaint. I purchased the protection plan warranty for an additional 3 years. Not quite a year has passed and the recliner in the couch is not working. Big Lots will not take the couch back and stated I need to contact the warranty company.
