Bought two brand new heat pumps a couple years ago and we have had persistent problems. I'm not sure the total number of service calls but it has to be at least 10. Not to mention, they have billed us for several things we didn't owe and it took a number of calls to figure out what was going on. Overall, we paid a premium to use a big company and bought a high end trane to avoid problems - I am regretting that very much! Stay away.
**WARNING** A little over 2 1/2 years ago, we purchased a new ***** 5-ton HVAC system costing over $14,000.00. In this short period, the INDOOR COIL had to be replaced and now 9 months later the OUTDOOR COIL isn't working and need to be replaced. It is apparent we got a LEMON. We told Constellation Home that we want a complete HVAC replacement and they refuse to honor our request. Many of the negative reviews are correct. Constellation Energy is the worse and there is no way to cancel your service on their payment website. I joined a little over a year and half ago in 2021. There's a 3 to 4 month wait for services regardless if you schedule online or you call them to schedule. I scheduled a spring service in March (Spring) of 2021 to check the AC and get ready for the summer. The appointment was completed in September. Awful and very disappointed in the lack of communication and the constant rescheduling. I am a senior HOME OWNER purchased the BGE home protection years ago. no issues in taking payment for years but having a Tech respond to a and emergency call to repair heat in the mist of winter is DAUNTING!!! False advertisement on responding to emergency calls!!! CANCELLING the agreement today!!!!!!
Bad business no commuication after sale and in possession of your money.fail to honor their warranty.
Pitiful Billing services,,recently BGE Home changed their Name to Constellation Home back in the summer time,,since then its been PITIFUL,,the automated system says its always busy due to high call volumes they are unable to answer any calls when I have called them,,but they will continue to send billing invoices to me without FAIL,,without any acknowledgement of receiving or documentation that payments have been received by them,,even though I have closed all contracts for services. The tech that came to my house - Justin - was excellent!! I cannot say enough good things about the service he provided, My dryer was making a noise (I though a coin had gotten stuck). He quickly identified the problem (a roller needed to be replaced) and fixed it. He also checked the other roller and saw that it also needed to be replaced. Had BGE home protection since we moved to Maryland 11 years ago. Everything was great until a couple months ago when I noticed our recurring monthly charge of $9.90 went up to $68.55. Noticed 2 direct debits from our checking account totaling $127.20. I tried contacting BGE Home which switched ownership to Constellation Home a little while back. I switched my home warranty policy to BGE Home based on a referral from a family member. This has been the worst experience from customer service, billing, and the technicians. They have come to my home several times to fix our washing machine which led to a buyout for the washing machine. They tried to offer us $100 dollars, which I had to fight to get $300. I have never had this many service calls with the other home warranty company. BGE Home doesn't charge you a deductible because they probably cover it in the billing so... read more
