An agent with this company, ******** L ******, knocked on my door on June 12, 2021. I did not solicit her visit. I am not sure how she obtained my name and knew that I am within six months of being eligible for ********. I find this very disturbing. I was at work when she and some man, whom she never identified, knocked on my front door requesting to see me. I have never heard of her nor had any business dealings with her company. They were very persistent in requesting a personal meeting with me. They were very evasive with... read more

I have received nine (9) unsolicited phone calls from various individuals in this organization, despite stating to each caller that I am going with "company A", and that I am on the national Do Not Call registry. After the 10th call, I now hang up. Today, at noon, a female representative showed up at my home - ON A SATURDAY!!!! - to tell me that I had not been responding to phone calls. I calmly told her I had made it very clear I was not interested previously, I was on the ****** registry and that it was intrusive and compl... read more

They are a scam! Because my dad can go to the bathroom on his own they wont pay for the insurance that my parents paid good money for monthly. They are terrible.

When Agents leave the company, current employees rewrite policies so the company can charge back commissions from former employees, without providing documentation the charge backs are legitimate.

I have been a policyholder of multiple policies with Bankers Life for at least 25 years, my local agent has always been extremely prompt, courteous and respectful and most of all when I filed a claim for home health care claim in early 2020 it was paid promptly each month while I needed care after a slip that resulted in a broken hip requiring therapy. I highly recommend this company and suspect many of these negative reviews and complaints are merely revenge for some reason or another. There is a reason this company has bee... read more

We had Banker's Life long term care insurance on my husband and were able to have 12 hour, 7 day a week care for about 7 years. I signed up for short-term care for myself as I did not qualify for long term care (transplant recipient). I look forward to having short-term care in the future, if needed. I have never had an issue with them and the care I got for my husband was a god send.

Bankers Life is hands down the worst insurance company I have ever had the torture of trying to work with. If you are shopping for a long term care policy I would not recommend buying it from this company. Trying to get the benefits my parents have been paying for all of these years has been a constant uphill battle. Every call leads to one more form, one more reason benefits can’t be paid yet, one more hoop to jump through. My dad is in hospice. He and my mom need the benefits now. The clock is literally ticking down. I hav... read more

Even after telling a representative on the phone I am not interested in their product or services I continue to get a call from them at least once a week. This is very unreasonable and a very bad business practice on their part.
